Blessed state.
For me, personal computing was solved during the 2010s, though I'm no gaymer. I do have to keep task manager and about:memory open though in order to manage RAM, especially when I'm using Youpoo. Too lazy to upgrade to the 64-bit version to use that dormant RAM lol.

Google and Cloudflare is fully unsupported on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista now, it will only be a matter of time until 7 follows suit, which is likely since six years post EOL is more than enough. Internet Explorer got fully killed off as well.

More than 4 GB of ram directly addressable is a pretty good use case.

Utilities like Malwarebytes, Firefox, and Foxit Reader still work just fine on Windows 7 even with their latest releases, so would you please give an example of what you mean exactly by "new shit?" I'm assuming you mean gaming? Because even though Minetest says to use Windows 7 at your own risk since it's not officially supported the latest version of Minetest still works fine on Windows 7 anyways.
>>
>>108315765
Try switching to Supermium instead. Or Palemoon if you like old UI. Palemoon is basically just Firefox if it were still good. Also try VxKex, it lets you run modern programs.

It's good that there even is a 32 bit version of Windows 7 so that seven can still be used even on old machines with mediocre Intel Atom CPU's, but if you have a good CPU like an i7 then the 64 bit version of Windows 7 is super slick and really the way to go. I still have a 32 bit Win 7 ISO in my archive just in case, but I rarely ever use it on anything.
>>
>>108316915
>that pic
Accurate, but to be fair Windows 7 is officially supported on certain Macbook Pro laptops so you can actually have both Apple build quality AND Windows 7 utility.

Here are the official Windows 7 drivers from Apple themselves:

>>108320618
Sure thing zoomie zoom. Your first OS was Windows 7 and you can't either install a supported version of Wangblows or move to Linux, instead clinging to a DEPRECATED version with mounting security flaws that will never be patched.

>>
>>108320661
The OEM HP and Dell ISOs from internet archive are great if you have an old OEM motherboard because just activates.
t. Ultimate dual booting with XP 32 bit on AHCI thus a GTX 970 because it can get drivers for both XP and 7
>>
>>108320683
I shouldn't have assumed your use case etc. But these versions just include everything and allow you to use more than 16gb ram (up to 192gb) and even dual cpu if you want to. Basically just the goto recommendation that allows you to do everything that w7 can do.

There's a comparison chart at the bottom of this page if you are interested

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions
>>
>>108320810
No problem. The RAM use alone has me sold on Ultimate; even though this is going on a 16GB RAM laptop, I might go full retard and install it on my main PC when I get closer to the end.
Thank you again. <3

Also the latest versions of Paint.Net don't work on Win7. You can obviously get by with a slightly older version.

Hmm...
What Mac came with such a garbage display (1280x800)?
How are you connecting two drives? Is your 2TB HDD using an adapter to fit in the DVD drive slot?
12GB of RAM? Any reason you didn't go for 16GB? Are you poor or is the other memory slot soldered?
I don't use Firefox but that seems like a pretty new icon for Firefox, so it could be some fork or special version.
Why are you playing an open source Minecraft knock off instead of the actual game?
Is that the on-screen keyboard application (osk.exe) pinned in the taskbar? So your Mac's keyboard is also broken?

yeah, OWC Data doubler. Cost $15 and now I have all of my Youtube and TV shows rips on my mac for travel.
>12GB of RAM? Any reason you didn't go for 16GB? Are you poor or is the other memory slot soldered?
two slots no soldered but I feel past 12GB is probably diminishing returns for a 2012 mobile i5. DDR3 is cheap tho so maybe I will just do 16GB if im feeling cute.
>I don't use Firefox but that seems like a pretty new icon for Firefox, so it could be some fork or special version.
It's just the standard version by Mozilla. I have it set up so I have to manually authorize updates and they still seem to be updating it every 4 days even on Windows 7. Gets annoying.

Microsoft killed my beloved Java Edition.

Keyboard is fine, I just use on screen keyboard for password entry because im schizo and keyloggers could be here he said to himself as the cool wind of the cpu fan felt good against his bare chest.
