>After three years of Windows 11 decide to switch back to Windows 10
>Wow! Just wow!
>File explorer launches in an instant
>No lag with the right-click context menu
>Feels way much faster!
>Remember what you've been missing for the past three years
>>
>>108335181
Now try 7. It will have the same jump in performance
>>
>>108335181
Welcome home
>>
>>108335181
Is this a real thing? I'm still on 10, never switched to 11. I was hoping the performance would be comparable since I'll have to switch eventually
>>
>>108335181
Microcucks just don't get it do you?
>>
>>108335181
so you are an idiot for ever switching in the first place
coool ..
>>
>>108335201
I was about to post exactly this. 10 is a fat hippo compared to 7, it's crazy that it can feel "fast" only because 11 is so incredibly bad.
>>
>>108335239
Yes. UI responsiveness difference between them is impossible to not notice.
>>
>>108335181
anyone using Windows at this point is just a masochist. if you love cuckoldry that's fine or whatever but please keep it in your hobbyist chats and out of the public square.
>>
>>108335932
this.
>inb4 muh [software name] isn't ported to linux!
not an excuse nowadays.
just ask ai to reimplement it for you!!
>>
>>108335181
I don't know about 10 22h2, but DDA is broken on 10 21h2 ltsc, so I have to use 11 24h2 ltsc.
>>
>>108335181
11 seems fast to me.
>>108335932
Windows 2000 would be a better option than the hobby OS you’re peddling.
>>
>>108336015
WINE works well for the two windows applications I use, and one of them probably can be re-coded by AI. Maybe I'll do that.
>>
>>108336040
I have a Macbook that I'm using right now in addition to a linux (arch btw) desktop. UTM running a windows vm on the mac for a specific application and a few random utilities. WINE on the desktop for the same app. Windows 7 was perfectly serviceable and it's been a downhill slide since then. If you continue to use garbage it will continue to exist and increase. Unless you're an Indian with nationalistic motivations there is no reason to use or promote Windows.
>>
>>108335181
Good job, baby duck! Let's just wait till 2032 and see if Linux is worth by then.

10 was the beginning of the end. God what a piece of shit it mostly was (and is, let's be fully honest). You're basically running modern hardware enough for it not to be much of a bother. But this piece of shit was unusable on virtual machines compared to 8.1. Now that was blazingly fast. Maybe you should switch to 8.1.
>>
Im planning on either downloading 10 ltsc on my thinkpad t14 or just making the switch to zorin or mint. What do you guys think, in terms of battery life?
>>
>>108335201
now try XP
now try 95
now try 3.1
now try DOS
of course you'll get a jump in performance on better hardware, idiot
>>
Try Linux, retards. You don't need to stay on outdated OSes to have performance and minimalism.

Has me thinking. What is the reason 7 is supposed to be "outdated" in modern era? Beyond security, main issue with XP is the ram limit
>>
>>108336509
>Beyond security
You're right, that's a secondary concern. Apps will start dropping support for Windows 10 in a few years, so you'll have to switch anyway (or use outdated apps as well). Mental illness.
>>
>>108336472
ok now tell me what justifies the exponential hardware requirements.
>>
>>108336509
They had to kill 7 because nobody was migrating to 10 unless they were forced to. If 7 would still be updated then people would still run it. There was nothing really wrong about it.
>>
>>108336489
Linux is meant for servers

Maybe if steamos is good and actually usable I might use it

Also linux distros are on board with the age verification digital id nonsense, it's just a different shade of less usable shit
>>
>>108336577
Nah 7 was dogshit

8.1 is superior
>>
>>108335181
I run windows 2000 along with a bunch of old school softwares in a wm and I love it so much. that warm brass playing after booting is pure soul. Even the aesthetics are superior.
>>
I used both and didn't notice any significant difference, it's probably only noticeable on old pcs

Meds

Booster and bbc
>>
>>108336583
age verification requirements won't disappear if your OS doesn't support it, idiot
>>
>>108336641
Your post makes no sense tarded ghetto nog
>>
>>108336509
Windows Updates was fucked for years and Microsoft never fixed it, it wasn't too noticeable on a beefy machine but weaker laptops would crawl whenever windows update was checking the internal database
I suppose you can just lobotomize that service now seeing as it gets no updates

I'd like to say they fixed that issue in 10 but they eventually did the same fuck up and yet again windows updates makes a low powered machine chug like fuck

yeah they're totally going to make my LTSC win 10 support age verification
>>
>>108336472
I've had the same hardware for a decade, saar. Don't forget to ask chatgpt how to write next nt kernel completely in javascript.
>>
>>108335181
Same only use Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 and SUSE now along with old 8 bits. Zero interest in must have an internet connection spyware adware slop
>>
>>108337370
Yeah but if you down take it off line how are you going to prevent them dropping an update that cripples the activation and leave it fucked up and unable to reactivate?
>>
>>108335201
>>108335322
8.1 is faster than both 10 and 7, factually, even.
>>
>>108336472
No Irony XP is better and has a better application, productivity and game library than Windows 11, same for 7 and 10. Win 11 does not have any library because all it's shit is cloud based must ID and subscribe bullshit.
>>
>>108337370
It doesn't matter if the OS supports a feature you don't use, retard.
These threads are always full of computer illiterates, jesus fucking christ.
>>
>>108336590
I need some of what you're taking, absolutely delusional
>>
>>108337251
because it was already being deprecated in games and software long before official microslop EoS, retard

Windows 11 is Jeetware, that gets worse with every update.
>>
>>108337825
Sounds like you're a jeet and you're saary.
>>

chances are same vibecoding jeets handle w10 security updates

i just switched to 11 like 2 weeks ago (had still been on UEFI mode) and i don't think its too bad.

display, hardware and software incompatibility issues.
>>
>>108338684
Would you kindly elaborate? Haven't heard of display/hardware issues for 7. Does it not connect with new smart TVs or what?
>>
>>108336509
there are not generic drivers for current shit
from usb3 to nvme, everything "new" is simply unsupported.
there are community unofficial projects to port drivers from newer versions of Windows into it, but you can imagine that it is not perfect.
>>
>>108338409
Same. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong to have a pretty good time on windows11 compared to linux or macos. I find it way more enjoyable and fast to work on. Simply because all my apps just werk. Even my old surface pro from 2016 is still running w10 fine for now.
>>
>>108336489

I use PCs for work and Creative Cloud rather than dick around aimlessly in AAA games.
>>
>>108337251
Stop being such a retarded zoomer monkey with zero knowledge of history. Back then there were tons of stories about people going to the store to get some groceries and come back and their PC is installing Windows 10 forcefully. People wanted to stay on Windows 7 but Windows 10 was pushed down their throats to boost the numbers.
>>
>>108335181
I switch back to windows 10 two years ago because I can't stand the laggy start menu and right-click menu. I'm surprised it's still not fixed.
>>
>>108338684
So keep supporting windows 7 so it remains compatible with those things.
