Has there ever been a bigger fall from grace?
>>
whats an "app player"? some sort of macro software?
>>
i used to use this shit to play blue archive. the amount of frustration i had before it finally came to steam was indescribable..
>>
>>108343798
it's an android emulator. last time I used it a decade ago it was exactly that. i just downloaded it again to debug something and it's a gigantic horrifying gaymer adware nightmare
you think phone apps already have enough ads? now how about the OS you're playing them on INTERRUPTS your game to insert ITS OWN ADS?
>>
>>108343817
Don't they include an emulator in the official dev tools already?
>>
>>108343828
I'm sure they do, but for the thing I needed to do that took 5 minutes, I'd rather spend 10 seconds installing something that's ready to go than sign my life away to some jewgle developer program and install a 100GB dev suite that needs 2 hours of setup time
>>
>>108343845
I guess you could use an android x86 vm, that shouldn't have any extra ads or gaymer adware.
>>
When I played pro poker in the various phone app clubs, LDPlayer was my choice, and it worked infinitely better. Someone even built a hand grapper for top HUDs for LDPlayer.
I will say, though, that I was playing like 12 of these emulators on a desktop (obv) and dropped frames were constant, but had zero effect on poker gameplay.
Bluestscks was extremely dogshit in my experience, crashing tables often snd freezing long enough to matter from time to time, with the same hardware resources dedicated to each emulator

I used to use bluestacks for girls frontline and didn't have any issues
>>
>>108343874
Latest version of Bluestacks has ads that take up 50% of the screen and 100% of your CPU.

use ublock origin

you don't even need an account to download android studio or the sdk (both which include the android device emulator)
gacha and low IQ really go hand in hand it seems

it's been like that since a decade ago
>>
how come there's no open-source linux-friendly android emulator? I guess there's waydroid but it is very different from an actual emulator, and it requires wayslop
>>
>>108343781
Yes, literally Nokia.
>>
Windows Subsystem for Android is really good and I don't think they should discontinue support for it.
>>
>>108344141
Waydroid is not as friendly to setup, but it's completely ad free and and the performance is great, this isn't even a VM, this is just an Android container and it uses the host kernel. Valve forked that shit even and it will be used to run Android Apps on the Steam Frame. I love Gaydroid
>wayslop
you can run it on x11
>>
>>108344253
what IF I don't want shitty pozzware android apps running on my actual kernel?
I actually prefer a separate VM
>>
>>108344322
Fair point. But the container is isolated by default and depending on your distro, SELinux doesn't even allow that. + android apps are sandboxed by default.
>>
>>108344322
You could always run waydroid inside of a VM
>>
>>108344345
fair point, will give it a try

Get a Chromebook, it comes with the Google Play Store.
>>
>>108343781
What happened?
>>
>>108344253
ive seen waydroid a couple times it seems really enticing, I wish there was an equivalent to this on windows since I havent switched to loonox.
>>
>>108344089
You care more about that than the epstein files (jew files).
>>
>>108343798
Literally an android emulator.
>>
>>108346632
He's literally in those.
>>
>>108343781
Everyone switched to MuMu long time ago
>>
>>108346632
yes, of course - i am a gamer and i care more about fake gamers than fake pedophiles. if i was a pedophile i would have a huge problem with the Epstein files.

How and how to download it, without their online script? I want rpm/deb not to add it to my repo lists, not through a script that obscures what is done
>>
>>108348390
sudo dnf in waydroid

Bluestacks is a virtual machine that depends on the x86-android project to work. it was never an emulator
>>
>>108346555
how about just running a minimal linux vm and installing waydroid on it?
>>
The performance drop between v4 to v5 was huge. I am using Mumu now. Oh and yeah, the ads are more obnoxious now.
