It's good for college students who already own an iPhone and don't need anything more than word processing and YouTube. It sucks for people not already on the Apple ecosystem. It's an American market laptop that trades entirely on icloud access and iPhone compatibilityUnfortunately that also makes it the realistic king of new budget laptops, because everything else is somehow worse

The RAM and storage makes it so it's going to kill the SSD with swap wear if you use it too much just like the other MacBook with this config. People who need more will get a real laptop or full fat MacBook(air/pro). I prefer it not having magsafe because I hate having to carry a proprietary cable around just to charge when my older 2016 pro used USBC like a normal laptop. It ain't for me but it is intresting how It came out when I was considering an upgrade. I'll get a pro like an adult.
