You guys told me learning to make AI slop wasn't important and vibe coders will soon be on suicide watch. My new employer specifically reduced my percentage increase saying that I've low familiarity with AI tools and IDEs. They barely pay above my previous employers. I wouldn't have accepted the job if not I was asked to 'respectfully retire'(ie fired but they couldn't find a reason to).

Just quit bro, didn't you hear? Everyone who got fired because of AI usage is being rehired back at double the rates!
Incidentally, tell me what company you work at and your role.
>>
>>108347083
you were asked if you knew how to use AI and you said 'no'? you should be fired...
>>
>>108347119
I wasn't fired because of AI, I was fired for different reasons(Failed an interview for a client, they said I need to resign because they had no other big client that I could work with justifying my current pay).
>>108347188
No. They gave me a hands-on and specifically noticed and criticized how I was writing by hand everything.
>>
>>108347204
Why would you resign instead of getting fired? Did they give a good severance package at least?
>>
>>108347241
Wouldn't getting fired be worse than resigning?
Yes, they did promise me 7 months pay plus gratuity as severance.
>>
>>108347258
Well maybe prospective job wise but you can't get unemployment if you resign, but obviously the severance offsets that so it's fine

God... you are just retarded.

So the guy said 'I didn't like that you didn't use the AI Tool'... and you said 'Yeah I think AI is bad and you are dumb if you think diffrently'.... instead of you know 'Oh I was allowed to use AI? That would have made this alot easier - I love that this company embraces AI!'

Bending over and accepting lower pay was defenetly the right choice for you...

>'I didn't like that you didn't use the AI Tool'

No? Before the handson they told me during the handson that I could use AI. They were criticizing me for ignoring the AI IDE that was installed on the device and using VS Code normally. Then they asked me why I didn't bother to use the copilot extension in VS Code and my AI usage was just opening the browser and asking chatgpt if I had any doubt.
They told me that I could have done so much more in a shorter time if I had asked the AI IDE to generate the entire code based with CRUD operations instead of writing them all myself(Which I frankly didn't know btw and I admitted that I was not familiar with AI IDEs).
Anyways, why are you so angry and making up assumptions about me lol?

huh
that sucks
I use ai a llot myself but apparently im not using it in the correct way, I just copy paste from the chat window
