Best music player app for Android?
I'm done using subscriptions, I'm just going to pirate all my music like the old days
Can I get a zune HD style music app or something similar? I still have my zune, but it's like 16gb and I don't want a second device

foobar2000

It even streams from your local network if you don't/can't put the files on your phone.

poweramp

for tagged music files I use Musicolet,
>albums, collections etc
for plain music files I use Foldplay
>dj sets, random youtube downloads, things that I am too arsed to apply tags, or things I will listen to once then delete
both support unfocused audio play

Namida
>FOSS
>cute anime icon
Pixel Play
>material design
>FOSS

Both have no ads or IAPs, naturally.

Closest thing to Zune is an iPod style music player called ClassiPod. It's FOSS too.
>>
there is an app called OpenTune where you can listen to youtube without ads and download music from youtube

This. Works great with Android Auto and my stolen music collection.

Agreed. Poweramp is the only music player that can handle shuffling albums correctly from my experience. The closest equivalent would've been AIMP but that doesn't shuffle categories, it just shuffles the albums and then makes one long fucking track playlist.

Four things that suck about Poweramp that makes me wish I could stop using them:
>No more swipe up/down functionality to skip an album category (used to exist but removed because ???)
>When plugging into my car stereo initially the music will stop playing after 1 minute and has to be manually played again (apparently you gave to disable battery saving on the app to prevent this even though literally no other music app is affected by this behavior)
>Faggy "feature packs" the devs want you to pay for even though the app already costs over $10 after the "trial period"
>No easy way to sideload app updates via Obtanium because of their retarded distribution setup and all app updates have to be sideloaded manually (each version is its own forum post or something dumb like that)

Poweramp or Symfonium. The latter supports music on your network like jellyfin or whatever.
>>
>>108348710
Tempus if you're using navidrome
I think it might work with local music but i use it with my navidrome server
>>
Plexamp and stream all your music from your server

I use Vinyl.

i use finamp with jellyfin which lets me sync and download local some stuff, personally. but poweramp for local first

Musicolet just works
>>
>>108348768
I also use musicolet, it's good
>>
>>108349829
This. Musicolet is a close second, and Vinyl is a distant third. Everything else is shitware or bloatniggotry.
>>
>>108349887
I heard that the symfonium dev is a groomer tranny who cyberstalks teenage boys. Everyone knows that poweramp is mossad spyware. Try again next time, jewtranny.

>>108348710
Classipod.
>>
>>108348745
recent updates made it shittier for some reason
>>
>>108352215
I didn't really notice. Looks about the exact same as it was 6 years ago. Shittier how?
>>
>>108352219
one of the updates changed the equalizer without my knowledge and for some reason gapless doesnt work properly anymore
maybe i should reinstall it
other than that i agree its the same as ever

Pulsar

This. The only player that can reliably dump all playlists to m3u and import them all again.

worked in like 10% of cases

Cx File Explorer. That's all you need.
>>
musicolet
poweramp
blackplayer

in that order
>>
Former musicolet user who switched to pulsar here. I still think I like music(t)o(i)let better but the jeet dev seems to be too dumb to figure out how to get around the aggressive background process killing that happens on some phones. So I needed an alternative. Those are the only two apps I have used that are any good at all. Everything else is utter dogshit and the people who made it should be embarrassed.
>>
>>108352129
Symfonium works and it's ok, If I were to care after the devs of each crap I use I wouldn't use windows due to the jeets, Linux due to the trannies and Bichas or Mac due to the faggots. And you use a lot of trannyware yourself you complete faggot.
>>
>>108348710
I use mpd in the background and M.A.L.P because that's the only FOSS stack of players I have found that seems to actually be able output higher than 44.1khz through the android API
