hold on, all these little turd glasses are tethered via usb-c or display port or whatever?
I need to feed an infant, go take a shit, do the dishes, change a diaper etc etc etc all hands free without pausing my youtube video or getting the cable caught on something. We're not there yet on a device you want $300-600 for???
Is there anything you can do with these besides watch porno on an airplane?
>>
>>108351654
You can't even wear these without faggot normies seething at you for "secretly recording" them (even though there's security cameras and phones everywhere already), so if you do use it to watch porn in public you'll be getting constantly harassed. Fuck normies, man.
>>
>>108351654
No, they are basically external monitors. I've tried a Viture before and was disappointed. I don't know how they measure their screen dimensions, but it's never 120" or whatever bullshit. You could run the cable under your shirt and it shouldn't snag.
>>
>>108351689
They don't have cameras.
>>
>>108351717
Yes they do dumbfuck. AR can't work without cameras you fucking idiot.
>>
>>108351689
>you do use it to watch porn in public you'll be getting constantly harassed
I'm 6' and lift at 200lbs. Normies don't say shit to me. You're just a manlet
>>
>>108351654
>without pausing my youtube video
I MUST consume the SLOP.
>>
>>108351765
I'm 6'3 and 180 pounds. I've never gotten harassed myself, but I see countless examples of it happening to non-manlets who engage in this activity regardless. It's only a matter of time.
>>
>>108351735
They dont have cameras. At most accelerometers. It isn't really fully AR. It is just projecting a semi transparent screen onto your glasses. The experience is a lot more basic than you imagine.

Low iq luddites are the worst kind of scum there is

Until we have a wireless display tech (like a BT for screens) this will always be the case anon.

You basically are transmitting like 5-20 gbps uncompressed. We need a way to do that without huge amounts of lag or issues. Basically impossible right now.
>>
>>108351694
I have vitures and they are great imo, although I'll always be annoyed having an older pair as every year these glasses get way better.

They are definitely reach 120" but you need the distance for it to appear that way. I'd say in my rooms I get 7-10' and it comes out to like a 75" tv or bigger. I have both a 75 and 85" tv in my rooms so I can compare against them.
>>
>>108351948
We just need a new or proprietary standard. So far only the meta orion seems to have wireless compute.
>>
>>108351961
You have a 75" and 85" television, so you went out and bought two very small televisions that sit so close to your eyes that they look 75". Remarkable.
>>
>>108351948
FPV drones can do it just fine. Of course the resolution is quite low, but AR glasses tend to have low resolution anyways. You just need a VTX (video transmitter) and VRX (video receiver). The only thing I'd worry about at that point is having such high bandwidth data beamed directly into my brain, and also the security concerns of unencrypted video transmission (encrypting it would be a federal crime).
>>
>>108352013
Wireless video transmission also has big heating/power concerns.
>>
>>108351654
i use them to pilot my fpv drone.
good way to go against the legistlation that you need "direct line of sight" to your drone.
>>
>>108352013
Wut why's it a crime that seems retarded. How's that different from sending a video through WhatsApp
>>
>>108351995
It's almost like I use them for a completely different purpose. Like, leaving my house.
>>
>>108352122
Restricted frequencies. Blame the FCC.
>>
>>108351735
Doesn't mean normies won't panic thinking they have a camera in them or that Tyrone won't try to help himself to acquiring them from you. That said, I haven't seen or heard of either happening but it's also a niche product so maybe not a lot of opportunities for that type of thing to have happened.
>>
>>108351654
didn't we have this shit 15 years ago
google glass or some nonsense
fuck we really did
I fucking hate living in the first era of stagnation after rapid development
the only new tech we've gotten in my adult life has been NFTs (which were immediately mocked out of public discourse because of a misunderstanding of their usecase), will smith eating spaghetti, and... I guess meshtastic is pretty cool.
>>
>>108352193
Damn you're retarded.
>>
>>108352250
Explain yourself.
>>
>>108352262
Google Glass was a different type of tech. More akin to the Meta glasses. AR not XR.
