Okay so now that Subscribestar has gone to shit, if you make a custom website for your adult art or controversial/political content, what payment processor are you supposed to use? Someone told me Stripe, but isn't Stripe owned by big banks and could pull off a Visa? Crypto doesn't seem like an option because normies would not bother to look into it.

If you get banned by Stripe you have much bigger things to worry about.The only reason why people don't use stripe is because their UI/UX is fucking horrible and extremely slow. But it has the lowest rates, because unlike "BuyMeACoffee" or "SubscribeStar", you don't have assholes skimming off the top of every donation/purchase you receive. 2.4% flat rate. Just fucking use Stripe. There are no good alternatives unless you use crypto, which nobody uses.
>>108352354Using stripe as an individual is feasible, but I'd recommend that you set up a LLC or something and then get a virtual mail address. Most transactions won't show your name, phone, and address to your clients by default, but it's kinda sketchy because it's very case-dependent. Invoices, for example, will include that information and there's no good way to get around it afaik.

Crypto is treated like a financial asset and investment so you technically gotta report each transaction (except buying the crypto itself) to tax authorities. It's also hard for normies to get into. It's a real shame because it has potential. Hopefully a similarly powerful international payment system can replace it.

The obvious answer is for people to accept crypto payments. Kaspium is the most solid PoW coin that can handle transaction volumes so I'd recommend that, but arguing about which crypto to use is usually what derails these discussions.There is an obvious high-level effort to prevent this which is why integrated crypto payment tools aren't available in Chromium or Iphone, etc. This would be trivial to implement and instead we're stuck with bullshit. This situation will change at some point, it is inevitable. The internet needs native payments.
