>>108352563i don't help trannys
>>108352563Ask an AI, I used Claude to figure out a niche mouse problem and it turns out Wayland doesn't work with a lot of things yet like X11. It could also be that Linux isn't allowing Steam to access an insane level of memory, or you are using the wrong version of proton.
>>108352582I tried different versions of Proton. Perhaps I should use Claude or Antigravity for this. lol
fedora+steam+nvidia works here. what did you fuck up along ze way?
>>108352577How about you stfu and be helpful instead of wasting my time?
>>108352599I’m not sure, but I suspect the problem might be with the drives where I store my games. I switched from Windows and transferred all my games to a drive with NTFS file system. I don’t know if that’s the cause of the issue.
>>108352563linux is evil
>>108352609i guess
>>108352563Install wine it might pull some missing dependencies
>>108352639I will, but the strange thing is that not a single game is running.
>>108352645look around in /var/log/messages for anything steam related
>>108352645It happens to me too sometimes when setting up a fresh system but I don't know what fixes it because I throw shit at the wall until it sticks
>>108352607That is the issue. I had the same years ago. Ntfs on linux is terrible.
just fucking run steam from the terminalopen terminaltype steamenter
>>108352607I don't think Proton works with NTFS drives. Putting them on a real filesystem fixed it for me at least.
Install windows, maybe that'l fix it
>>108352563>installed my invdia gpu driversmanually installing nvidia drivers is a way to fuck up your entire installation, montsh later some bs will break randomly, making it easier to just do a clean install and just dont touch the drivers and just let them be
>>108352898This is terrible advice.Anon who said it was the file system type is correct. NTFS doesn't play well with steam. You can still play cracked games off the drive if you have wine set up properly, but it's not exactly optimal.
