Instead, we let the rich convince us we were their special pets because they paid us a closer-to-fair wage for our work.

In 20 years time, if we still exist as a profession, software engineers will earn the same as fast food workers.

You might think you're "safe", because you live in a developing or LCOL country that receives a lot of outsourcing.

But I promise you, the infinite pursuit of growth and profit knows no borders.

I started my career in 2015 Eastern Europe, earning $400 USD per month. I leveraged outsourcing to boost my career, and move to a HCOL country earning in the top 5% of people here. Even then, I saw cock sucking executives pushing to outsource further. I even saw them actually try this, and fail miserably, since the cheaper countries didn't have the infrastructure or education systems at that point.

The fact that this has no replies is indicative of the fact that you're all no income csneets or early career, low-income wagies with no ideas of a picture bigger than "write code and bossman pays me"

i hate it here. if anyone needs me i'll be on tinder trying to fuck trannies.

I refused every job that was ever related to ad tech or ai. I don't understand people that do these jobs.

Oh look, it's another Russian subhuman trying, and failing, to demoralize anyone. It's only the 20th thread of the day.

the only thing that irks me about unions is the legally forced membership fees
it's like wage garnishment
people should be able to choose whether they are part of a union or not, not forced into one
>>
Most software "engineers" are don't deserve more than $18 an hour

The only way I would join a union is if the union's demands were
>permanent 100% remote
>purge the retards
Most unions are about keeping the retards.

Why would you want to join a union that wants to purge you?
