>Windows will be dead in 10 years.
its already dead. why wait 10 more years?
>>108356928As long as shite still works on debloated wangblows 10 I will keep using it
>>108356846For all the little things with Windows that I have bitched about over the years, the unexpected final straw for me was when I had to waste yet another hour of productive time trying to get Windows to print a normal fucking pdf with my Brother laser printer that has worked flawlessly with Linux for years with zero setup. Brother doesn't even make software for Linux and it STILL works better with Linux. If Windows fucks something up with the dumb as shit print queue, Windows can't even clear the hung job from the queue it just fucking sits there stuckasfuck forever. The only options are to run a script that force kills and purges the entire print service or reboot the computer, and that is only useful if the next time you go to print Windows doesn't fuck it up again. It was months ago and I'm still angry just thinking about it. How is it that after decades these companies have made printing worse than ever before?

>>108356846I don't think I'll be alive in 10 years. I hope it dissappears sooner.
>>108356846Not fucking likely.>be windows>want to download torrent>install qbittorrent>it just works>be linux>want to download torrent>check for qbittorrent>12 different packages exist>through different package managers>some are flatpaks>some use qt>some use whatever the fuck other apis>they're all different versions>none are the latest version>they all have visual differences>inconsistent configuration>they all store their files in completely different structures scattered across your harddrivelinux is a sloppy fucking mess and only loser hobbyists **whose time has no value** use itlinux is masturbatory consumption tool
>>108358663>>they all store their files in completely different structures scattered across your harddriveThis is the one that gets me. Why is there no equivalent of "Program Files"? And why must applications always require sudo to install?
>>108358663I just one click installed qbittorrent on Debian. The mess you talk about is yourself.
>>108358663I'd expect qbittorrent to always use Qt. The name is a clue.
>>108356846>Windows will be dead in 10 yearsPrediction: it'll take longer to die than that unless MS actively kills it. There's a hell of a lot of inertia out there. It's virtually all in boring corps, but there's very many of them.
>>108358663>12 different packages existLMAO, imagine moving to Linux and still using the bloated the slop for normies.
>>108358510>printer that has worked flawlessly with Linux for years with zero setupkek things that never happened
