Doesn't matter, most houses don't have the ground wires. It wasn't mandatory until 2011 with the new outlet, so even if the outlet has that hole or the wire is gong into the wall, 90% of houses don't have anything connected to it.
>>

Latin Americans seriously do not give a shit about their health or their lives. If they die, they die and that's it. And if they don't, great, means they can continue with having the wires exposed.

I've seen one model once that had the wire go inside a duct somewhat like picrel, but doesn't matter, because when it reaches the wall, the electrict socket is above the pipe, and postion varies by house, so the wire has to be 'exposed' away from the shower.

Unless you mean exposed, exposed like the actual wires not cleanly like next picrel.

This is how they want us to do it. The cleanliest officially up to code version. I don't like that. It can't be unplugged. And code inspectors don't want an actual outlet there because muh danger. You have to be intentionally thwoing water upwards at it to risk it getting wet and blowing up. Also, insde the wall, the connection is just as bad as any connection you see in the exposed pics you know, so not much safer, just hidden. It looks much better with an outlet, but that's illegal. So we just do that exposed shit you love, tell the inspector we forgot the cover, or will put it later, or it broke, because that thing is flimsy, and get our house fire approved.

Oh, and speaking of grounding, nowadays we use mostly PVC pipes, but older housees that had metal pipes usually had the ground wire touching it, whether intentionally or not, idk. So when turning the picrel, you got a niiiiice buzz.

That beige part in the bottom is installed backwards. They should've turned it half a turn more, so the thing pointed backwards. Then used a larger (and more flexible) hose going down closer to the wall and out of the way, so you could pick it up to hose yourself. Men usually don't use that, so we do any random shit like that picrel, but women apparently love those hose things.

It's a douche, tipically supposed to be connected to a much longer and more flexible cable that can be stowed in a piece by the wall. Usually the plug is also positioned backwards, not pointing forwards like in the pic.
However, the cables are made of flimsy af low quality rubber that rips and falls apart in little time (usually at the point that connects to the shower head), and also becomes harder and less flexible with time. People usually start fixing it by just removing a small part of the cable where it connects to the shower head since it's the area most prone to wear and tear, but in the end after a few years you end up with stuff like picrel and no one uses it anymore.

In mine I just removed the entire douche and cable, and stuffed kitchen paper in the showerhead hole (the hole must be plugged otherwise the shower won't work properly). My gambiarra (BR slang for improvisation / hack fix) has been holding for years.

My gambiarra was just a short length of the tube, cut and heated to melt together turning it into a cap. Short and simple. I'd think paper would allow some water to drip thru or damage it over time requiring more and more paper.

I thought the same. It was supposed to be a temporary fix until I came up with a more permanent solution like yours.
However it's been holding for I think about 4 years now, without any maintenance. Maybe because the water pressure here is low (2nd floor of a 2-story house).

those only make sense when you're in a country in which you'll be using them for like 90% of the year. Also some of the fancier buildings do have water heaters and stuff, some hotels love to boast about that shit because electrical showerheads are for the poor.

Is 3kW really of any use for showering? It sounds extremely meager to me. Around where I live tankless water heaters are extremely common, but they're all gas-fired and the burner power is typically like 24kW. At 24kW you can have a nice, hot shower with good flow rate, but if somebody else in the house uses hot water it's not really enough anymore (the water will still be warm but you'll definitely notice a temperature drop). If you're working with only 3kW I feel like it'd be basically worthless for a shower, unless your flow rate is barely a drizzle.

That would be great next step, but the stations themselves are everywhere in Budapest. Unfortunately, every delivery service has their own, so we can have up to 5-6 different flavored stations next to each other near busy intersections or wherever there is space, but every company only delivers to their own, and there might be capacity problems. Some consolidation or a universal system is badly needed, as the current free for all is inefficient.

while it's slower to traverse many floors as it has a lower top speed than a modern lift due to people needing to get on/off while it's moving, just getting between adjacent floors would be faster as you'd almost never have to wait for it even if someone else is using it

It's cancellation of restrictions. it's the same in France, it's just another rule you learn in driving school: green light doesn't mean you're completely free to go if you're turning right. you're supposed to always watch for crosswalks and slow near them anyway since most of them don't have lights.
nevertheless in this case we often add a blinking light to remind drivers that pedestrians have priority.

Anything old, sure. Most cars on the road in the US now have been made in the past 15 years due to mass trade-ins and scrapping during the 2000s, and anything new is actually somewhat efficient for its volume. Most of our cars are electronically limited somewhere between 110 MPH/180KPH and 150MPH/240KPH (pretty sure it's the same range for you guys), and plenty of regular cars can go over that with the ECUs flashed. Almost anything us Amerifats are driving can do at least 180 kph. Even the big shitters like SUVs and pickup trucks have 0-60 times of around 7 seconds and rated top speeds past that.
>>
>>108377463
most of the time pedestrians wait that all turning cars have passed before actually crossing, even though the rule says it should be the opposite. so it's more or less the same as a straight-line lightless crosswalk, except cars are much slower in a 90-degree turn, so all in all it's actually safer.

Nobody waits here, once the pedestrian light turns green everyone goes (because if you miss this light you might have to wait another 3 minutes until the next green), cars, especially non local drivers also often miss this (as it's not even a zebra crossing) and then have to slam on the brakes literally when taking the turn. Maybe in France people are more sensible.

Very important. When was the last time your doctor asked you about your stool. Shape, consistency, size, solid, soft, or wet. Never? Your doctor is engaging in medical malpractice. The reason behind German toilet is to help in stool inspection. That’s vital. America accounts for 70% of world pharmaceutical sales. America is only 4% of the world. Now you know. Inspect your stool. It’s literally the difference between life and death. The stool should come out solid but not too hard, with minimal wiping. If it’s constantly wet and and too soft well guess what? You have a health issue. Talk to your doctor.

>>108375104
It's an old design from when modern elevators didn't exist or at least weren't widespread.
They wouldn't install one today.

But apparently it's safe if you know how to use it and don't fuck around.
They probably on't let random visitors use it, but for employees/regulars who received proper instructions it should be fine.
>>
>>108377608
>Even if they don’t have gas there are electric centralized water heaters
You don't need a central water heater when the shower is the only thing getting hot water and most houses pipes can't handle the heat.
The electric showerhead is incredibly safe, you can see electroBOOMs video on it, you just need to install it correctly.
It's like saying gas heaters are insanely unsafe because installing it incorrectly could cause a gas leak.
>>
>>108377658
I mean it's moving quite slowly going by the videos and all you need to do is step in or step out, doesn't look like using one is rocket science or anything. It seems unsafe in the sense that if somebody trips and falls over or something that shit will just break them as it moves continuously. I'm sure nowadays they can add sensors and shit to stop the elevator in situations like this but that wasn't the case back in the day. With conventional elevators even the oldest I've ever seen have basic safety measures like the elevator not being allowed to run if a door is open, precisely to avoid people getting rekt if they get caught in-between the moving cabin and said door.

>>108377608
I assume they must have proper water heaters in proper homes, these electric shower heaters look like some utter favela shit that can be added easily to heat the water up a bit without requiring extra shit, like hot water pipes in the walls.

I also assume the "cold" water temperature in Brazil must be a lot warmer than it is in temperate regions, so it probably requires less heating to be tolerable for a shower than in temperate regions where cold water is really quite cold and far from warm enough for a comfortable shower.
>>
>>108374837

I've traveled to a bunch of places here, and I gotta say it's 50/50
Places like curitiba, where I am currently, in the south, are incredibly clean, and I went to a beach town called "little bombs" in the saint catarina state(also south) which was also incredibly clean. But those places had a LOT of public servants cleaning the streets and beaches, seems more like a government thing than culture.
The beaches of a place called camburiu(?) were really disgusting though and it was in the same state as little bombs, but that town felt like a caricature of what a rich beach town was, exactly how I felt like in dubai. Sao paulo, despite being very impressive as a big city was the most disgusting place I've seen here though, very dirty even in the richer areas.
Can't really compare it to India though, I especially disagree with you on the "kitchen/cooking hygiene" thing, I've worked with restaurants for most of my adult life and there's just no comparison. Of the 100s of kitchens I've visited here in different cities during my year-long stay, I'd say about 4-5 really concerned me, but even those weren't even close to what I saw in like a week while consulting in new delhi. Seriously, you'll understand what I mean the second you ever set foot in India. Just absolutely, incredibly disgusting place, and I'm not even talking about street food, that would be like comparing a surgery room to an outhouse.
>>108378190
Used to think that way, now it just makes sense: You spend the entire day outside, then get home and wash out the gunk and sweat so you can feel fresh in your clean house.
