what do you think about windowmaker
>>108402780I like the workflow, aesthetics and layout but every time I've tried it half of the applets have been broken, it also lacks some modern features (as expected).I've been meaning to give wlmaker a try to see if it holds up.
>>108402853you have to compile the dockapps to get them to work on most distros
>>108402780I don't think about it at all
>>108402780How is gayming with Windowmaker? Okay I could install and test it out on my own, would probably be faster than expecting a reply from some time wasting thread.
>>108402780Couldn't care less. I like using MATE, but I think it's fine if other people want to use something else.
>>108403081probably the same as any other X desktop, one would imagine
>>108403081worked fine for me, no issues that i can remember.
>>108402780i haven't used it in a year but i still think it's good if you want an old looking setup that doesn't feel useless. The only issue is setting it up can take time since you have to compile the dockapps, unless you're on arch maybe.
>>108403366>>108403358this is my most recent setup but i haven't had time to build all of the dockapps. I'm using xfce right now but will probably switch back to windowmaker at some point. I've always liked changing up my desktop to keep things fresh and usually bounce between windowmaker and something like xfce.
also i saw an anon post this in a desktop thread once and that's what got me to try out windowmaker

>>108403406too bad openbsd is still unusable piece of shit
>>108402780I have never once been impressed by anything ever shared. It all looks like a waste of space and fisher price like.
>>108402780im already windowmaker
>>108402780I couldn't get used to it but I do like it a lot
It looks like shit and I hate it so much and I toss and turn at night thinking about it and I don't get and sleep which makes me so angry during the day and I just hate it I hate it so much
