I understand them now. I hated and made fun of them my whole life but I get it now. Now that most things are enshittified and a pain to use, it really is a joy to just have a seamless collection of electronics that just work (TM), just do what they do, look good, feel smooth to operate.

I've heard great things about the Nvidia shield (and nvidia has maintained an impressively persistent record of software updates with it) but for the price and simplicity the AppleTV is actually pretty excellent.
