I miss old school IBM and I miss Old Bell Labs.I miss that old generation of engineer north atlantic boomers.Today, there’s nothing left of those days. Of course, things weren’t perfect, there were plenty of problems, sins and mistakes. But there was a general spirit of quality and discipline. A genuine commitment to solving problems. These days, it all boils down to cheap labor, programming slurry and finding ways to sell shit nobody wants or needs or how to implement massive control on our systems. I really appreciate those boomers and try to learn as much as I can from them whenever I get the chance, I know one day they'll all be gone and things are going to SUCK and FUCK even more.

IBM's history of innovation+fucking it up is pretty well documented.
