Is anyone else facing acid reflux, gastric troubles, and not-that-good health in general due to using computer the whole day and staying awake late into the night?

I have similar problems but working out more just makes it worse. I even fainted once from exhaustion but no doctor knows what's wrong with me.

Eat organic, seed oil free, emulsifier free food. Its what I did and while it is MRE expensive, it did work and it made me realized how genuinely cancerous American food is and how we have almost no actual regulations on food specifically. See oils specifically act as an anti-ozempic, and you'll be shocked how much weigh you lose by cutting it. Also if you want sunlight you need to open the windows fully because modern windows block a lot of light wavelengths you need to get all the benefits. Could also plop a chair outside and bask for 15 minutes and you'll be better off for it. Staying up late doesn't actually matter, its lack of sunlight exposure as a whole.

Ive been on this health journey for a while. Best of luck to you.

Yeah and stop drinking tap water. Tap water is one of the biggest health hazards.

that happens when you get older and have to watch what you eat. listen to your body

Yes, I'm severely out of shape. Acid reflux is mostly about finding the right medication though. Here in Eastern Europe, we have certain medications containing pantoprazol (I think that's what it's called) such as Nedis, that do a great job of fixing it. Supposedly there's a slight cancer risk, which is why it's not available everywhere. But I only take it when needed, which is very rare because it regulated my stomach properly the few times I took it. Other than that, just don't eat heavy foods before bed and try to sleep on your left side if you feel a slight reflux coming on. If you're severely overweight, try to eat less. Your body shape can severely affect reflux.

Also, with medication in general, don't be afraid to ask for something stronger at the pharmacy. The amount of times I got discouraged by a treatment not working is downright sad, especially because I found the "cure" later. And sometimes persistence in the right treatment is all it takes.

Do you mean being unhealthy in general or acid reflux in particular? Because there are answers to both.

I feel you though, these days I fully expect my body to give up on me completely after decades of neglect never finding the time to take care of myself.

You probably have a serious chronic condition. The worst I ever get is dizziness and the urge to vomit when working out for the first time in ages. I can't really blame my body for it, it's like going from absolute 0 to 100, even with a light workout. This sedentary lifestyle will be the end of us, bros.

I heard they figured out some autoimmune diseases like nut or shrimp allergy is due to lack of exposure while a toddler.

Maybe acid reflux is the same if you only eat the same thing or some schizo shit like that

there are no definitive answers
only despair

I had pretty serious acid reflux few years ago.
In a scope of few months I changed job, moved to new place and dramatically changed what I eat. It got magically fixed, so idk which thing helped. Worst debugging approach possible.
Probably the chinese restaurant near the old job where I had a lunch sever times a week had something to do with it.

I got to bed late but wake up late too, i live in the east coast and my wfh job is on west coast time so i have to log in at like 11am.

The acid reflux and stomach things are likely due to stress. I had it happen when I first started working.
You should try to fix it asap because in the long run it can change the surface of the esophagus and increase your chances of suffering esophagus cancer, which is one of the deadliest because detecting it on time for treatment is very rare.
High levels of cortisol in general are one of the things that is the most correlated with suffering an early death.
If you stay low stress, exercise a bit or at least walk and sleep a good amount of hours, you will be fine. Also try to sit in a correct posture.
