A guy at my job (front-end developer) fed our project to Claude. Now he writes tests with it and some portion of the codebase. During code reviews, Claude commits seem to be ok as well. That made me worry. Will I be eventually fired and replaced by a machine? That guy seems to be excited and preaching how this is the future.
>>
Yes. But companies need at least one senior developer to keep things together. Also to blame him for the inevitable hack or breakdown
>>
I don't understand how feeding a proprietary code to tool that lives outside the company's infrastructure is not considered security incident and leak. Are people this retarded to not see the problem?

if you don't you get outcompeted

You were fired yesterday when your coworker found out about Claude. Management just hasn't pulled the trigger yet. They are chomping at the bit to do it though.
>>
Don't worry anon. You'll get fired but they'll rehire you in a few months.

until it bloats the code to the point that nobody understands it and it also can't do anything to it

He didn't say "no please, do not implement the plan".
Working as intended.

a ton of people run their repos and build pipelines in github or azure devops or something similar
basically nobody cares unless it some hyper important code that is developed on a air gapped network

I'm sure Anthropic are dying to to read some company's java CRUD slop for their internal inventory management system with a userbase of 27

Claude forgets to add the form submit button name/value to the form data. I think you'll be fine anon.

Unironically what branch of tech is most future proof against ai? Networking, sysadmin, cloud architect, IT? It's obiously not software development.
>>
>>108419605
Literally none. You might be hired to lay ethernet cables and plug them in for 10k/year. AI will handle the rest faster and cheaper.

Yes You are next... hope you have things ready packet in box.
