agectl(8) run as a non-root user will print their age range or -1,-1
As root, it allows you to modify user ages in two different ways:
agectl -a 32 myuser will set myuser’s age to 32 years old
agectl -b 1990-12-22 myuser will set their birthday to December 22, 1990


aged(8) runs as the aged user and uses Unix domain sockets for communication. You can query the socket directly or use the agectl command.

Added an age field to adduser script today (03/16/2026)

Created 3 new functions in libutil prefixed with agev_ to get the current value and set age or dob. (03/16/2026)

int agev_set_dob(const char *username, const char *dob);


TODO: Modify bsdinstall to accept age and/or dob when installing the system
