Is this idiot serious ? That's close to TSMC targets for 2 nm. What are the odds he can successfully take down TSMC ? I'm a little worried cause I live on TSMC island (TM) and this single company is like 10% of our GDP

>Is this idiot
yes
>serious?
he's got an IPO due.
He's just plucking figures from his asshole to prevent anyone looking too deeply at all the SpaceX shite they'd actually be buying, like the loss-making Twitter @ $45B
>>
>>108436949
you can just buy the process then work it from there
japan have been at it for some years now, they stated they were targeting 2nm even back then
>>
>>108436949
He should build fabs in space.

>>108436949
typical delusional ceo bullshit
similar delusions with ceos saying they don't need engineers anymore because ai

Hes already said they are specifically making inference chips only. They already failed on the other end but succeedsucceeded on inference so they are focusing on that. Ull still need tsmc to make everytjing else

Hyperloop called.

>10% of our GDP
fucking how
>>
>>108441319
It's making like 70% of the worldwide chip productions I'm actually surprised it's so low
>>
>>108436949
i believe intel 18a more than i believe elon musk 2 nm
>>
>>108436949
Don't worry, Musk won't take down TSMC. He's building fabs strictly for internal consumption, producing chips to be used by Tesla, xAI, and SpaceX.
>>
>>108442422
>producing chips to be used by Tesla, xAI, and SpaceX
giving them all a single point of failure?
groovy.
>>
>>108436949
>What are the odds
Zero. There are no odds.

He couldn't even make androids properly and had to backtrack.
He said we'd be on Mars this year, and had to backtrack.
Making a fab and getting the EUV machines to work is infinitely more complicated than doing androids.

It's total bullshit.
