How the FUCK is asrock still fucked? Or in business?
>>108451608Got 3x of their mobos with 9850X3D's, not a singular issue.Sounds like a user error in all those happenings mayhaps.
>>108451608Maybe its amd's fault and not asrock's
>>108451608Its likely a rare hardware issue in both cpu and motherboard paired with a race condition. You will all be fine, right now there are only a handful of cases in millions of users. Asrock should just call it a day and give a 10 year replacement warranty for this specific issue. It wont cost them more than 50.000 bucks lifetime.
>>108451608Works just fine on my 7800x3d, unlike Asus at the time
>>108451608>le fixed biosassrock has claimed they fixed it like what, 3 times now?i dont think they even know what's causing the issue let alone have a software fix for it
>>108451608you get what you pay for
Bought an ASRock GPU and it died within a year. Sent it in to be replaced and I swear to god they just sent the same one back to me in a different box because it was dead on arrival. Never again.
>>108451608Asrock is very good for mid-low tier pcs
>>108451608looks like they're vibecoding their bios
asus and asrock are both poopoo brands
>>108451618That cpu just got released right? It took my 9800x3d 5 months to die. 2nd one 4 months. 3rd one i got a new mobo and been hating on assrock ever since
I used Asrock throughout the entire 2010s and my last build I did 2020 already showed signs of what was coming (the voltage was completely off so it pumped absurd amounts of juice into the cpu and I eventually got it to run smoothly by setting low voltages that should theoretically not work since too low). System otherwise kept trucking along and performed normally so I kept it. But this development fucking sucks. Back then it was a total nobrainer for me since they were affordable and worked as expected. No idea what I could pick now.
>>108451618>mayhapsopinion discarded
I got an x870e Nova to go with my 9950x3d. Zero problems so far but I am prepared for it to die one day. My first ASRock purchase.Since EVGA died there really is no where else to go for good service
>>108451608>mayhapshey reddit i tip my fedora
>>108451618>mayhaps
>>108451618>Sounds like a user error in all those happenings mayhaps.
>>108451805You want Asrock to replace the CPUs? Because they fail, not the motherboards themselves. Also it's not just asrock, its a global issue with the am5 x3d cpus. Its just a bit more prominent with asrock for still unknown reasons AFAIK.
>>108452144>>108453870>>108454104Did I miss something? What does that word have to do with trannies.
So fucking annoying. My 98003d doesn't POST if i"m away on business, but then it's fine after a cmos reset. I'm guessing the battery is just faulty, but I can't shake the feeling my CPU is slowly dying.
>>108452130they screwed up when they started to be come known with npcsone of my older mid-range boards has gazillion sata connection (now it is up to four of them, usually two and all other shit is nvme/m2 bs up to six of them even), had well designed layout where i could throw in three gpus without worry for passthroughs and such (these days they started bringing them close together so no way to do that anymore), all oc and hardware was reliable (not it is not)such a shameonce touched by majority it becomes bs
>not it is notnow it is not
>ASUS>ASROCKJust ignore any brand that starts with A. The only things they are known for are frying components.
>>108456679There's really no excuse not to buy sapphire mobosLegitimately the only serious company that offers mobos besides evga
>>108451608this may sound dumb, but could it be a cooler mount tolerance issue?
>>108451608How much do we want to guess they vibe coded the firmware
>>108456679>AsusThat's funny because that's the only brand that's decent. ASSrock, MSI, Gigabyte are shit.
>>108454250just got overtaken same way "whimsy" and "silly" did I think
Why does GayMD keep bricking boards? What happens if you live in a place with dogshit aftermarket support?
>>108456679>The only things they are known for are frying components.found the Gigabyte shill. do msi next and why they have to mark down all their hardware out of their goodness of their hearts, and not because they are the poster child for chinesium pc hardware.
>>108451608>buying from ButtrockYOU GET WHAT YOU FUCKING DESERVE!
>>108451608I have this bad boy and it's a fucking beast, plus it was dirt cheap
>>108456751You're either a fucking retard who falls for fancy marketing or a turboboomer who's stuck 20 years in the past. There was a time when they made the best motherboards around, but all modern ANUS products are dog shit.
I only buy Tesla brand these days.
>>108457169What is the best x870e am5 board?
>>108457149I kinda want this shit. I was unsure if its ai or not. Its so lame and idiotic. Might be cursed combo even.I kinda want one. What the fuck is that seriously how is this real lmao it looks like a fewerdream ai creation just kek
>>108457149>>108458889>INTELNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo
I've had an ASRock motherboard paired with a 9800X3D for a couple of years now, in that time there have been three separate instances of it failing to post with the CPU LED lit, in all cases turning the power off at the wall for ~2 minutes has resolved it (thankfully).I dread updating the BIOS due to their clear incompetence and each time this happens I fear it's dead for real.
>>108458955guess what idiot cucks. I never update bios, I never update drivers, I never do shit and my system always works as intended.stop installing the newer and newer versions of pajeet made spysoftwares holy shit whats wrong with you all.
>>108456611Literally everything became shit when PC vendors started gunning for the normies.Everything is extremely "safe" and cheap in terms of actual technical specs and included chipsets. The fucked up thing is even "enthusiasts" are falling for it because boards look edgy. But once you strip it down there is nothing really impressive. especially for the price.
>>108458969You're making a lot of assumptions there anon, I usually don't update my BIOS either. In this case I only did so after I encountered the issue twice.
>>108451608My condolences to anyone who bought an ASRock motherboard based on recommendations from /pcbg/ a year ago. It's still recommended in PCPartPicker's guide, so expect to see more victims.
>>108459092what killed assrock?
>>108459172It's the result of a physical hardware flaw, so a BIOS update won't fix the underlying problem.
>>108457430asus x870e proart
I remember Asrock's frankenboards, the only time when they were worth a buy. Some of them had support for multiple RAM-types, or different nForce chipsets or whatever the fuck they managed to crap out.
The Assrape mobo I had for a Zen 1 cpu was the only one that didn't have that damn p-states freeze issue as well as smooth memory overclocking. Still works flawlessly.
>>108457169lol no, gigabyte used to be the best and now they're shit.
>>108451608I've been using their motherboards for almost 20 years.Never had a single issue.
>>108459293If running dual GPUs would the Asus hero \ dark hero be better due to the supplemental PCIe power?
>>108460091Nvm proart has supplemental PCIe as wellThx anon
