After 8 years, I finally realized the Unix/Suckless philosophy is a giant fucking meme. I've completely replaced all of my existing tools with Emacs at this point. I ended up switching from dwm to fvwm and use Emacs as my terminal emulator instead of st.>calcurse to org-agenda>irssi to erc>lf to dired>ncmcpp to emms>neomutt to mu4e>newsraft to elfeed>tmux to eat>zathura to pdf-tools

I use vim, but I've always harbored the suspicion that I should have gone with emacs. At least then all of my tools would be unified through a lisp-compatible interface, rather than dealing with plugins and pipe-style interfaces with a bunch of tools that each have their own use syntax.
