>Sora shut down
>OpenAI entangled in countless lawsuits
>Meta and YouTube on the ropes

People are sick and tired of technology. If you're involved in its development, I would be worried.

sora shut down because openai is focusing on what matters, genociding codemonkeys and the software "engineer" bubble of 5T$/year with coding agents
>>
3 million to one person?
why couldnt she just put down the fucking phone
>>
>>108454869
They aren’t sick of tech they’re sick of for profit enterprises

It will be overthrown on appeal.

Reading the case in depth, I'm not so sure actually.
>>
I expected the thread about this to have hundreds of posts. Is this not the main thread?

Nobody is sick of "technology", they're sick of mind-numbing social media and AI is magnifying the effects. Turns out, watching slop all day every day will melt your brain. It's not like this is a new phenomenon, either. People have been shouting at the top of their lungs about passive consumption (TV) versus more active or creative endeavors. Hell, even reading books and playing video games are more mentally active than watching videos like a zombie.

I don't think a lot of people want to ditch technology, they just want a better technology landscape. If you ask people if they want to return to hunter-gather societies where access to edible food and clean drinkable water weren't guaranteed, and you were lucky to make it to 35, they would probably say "no thanks."

>it must be GOVERMENT RESPONSABILITY to take care of my children!
WHAT'S WRONG WITH MODERN PARENTS?!
just cut the internet and dont buy them smartphones... need to communicate with them? buy them a dumbphone
>>
>>108455708
>WHAT'S WRONG WITH MODERN PARENTS?!
brain too fried due to tiktok, shorts, reels and so on...
also too incompetent and lazy to look over their own children because fuck you. They don't get paid enough to tell their child to shut the fuck up.
Also as a coping mechanism for being too impatient to start a family knowing very well that their financial situation is absolute ass
>>
as much as I would love to see google and facebook destroyed, the idea that you can't provide any services whatsoever because someone might become addicted to it clearly isn't going to hold up in appeals, and if it did it would mean the end of all technology full stop

again, parents too incompetent to look over their own children.
Also, if most of the major sites die off because of this shit. We would go back to the web 1.0 days or straight up just using BBS?

Two more weeks

imagine putting reading a book and playing video games on the same level lmao
reading a book either be fiction or non-fiction is by far way better for your brain than anything else you mentioned
>>
>>108454869
this is the technology board, not /biz/ or twitter
>>
>>108455868
what makes you think those would be exempt? what makes you think video games would be exempt? what makes you think any of the technology you use daily would be exempt?
>>
>>108455908
>what makes you think those would be exempt?
oh, gee idk. Underground private networks with invite only sign in? A.K.A the Dark Net?
that would also extend to the rest of the technologies, as well as vydia
>>
Anyone tried venice ai?

If you're involved in enshittified corporate cancer tech then yet you should be worried, if you're trying to restore its place as a human tool that makes people optimistic or excited about their future then you are on the right path.

Female suffrage and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
