Is this the worst website/platform on the entire Internet? Every single post is AI. Every single picture is AI-generated. Everyone talks in ChatGPT-generated corporate speak but never had anything valuable to say. The three main types of people I see on LinkedIn.>Crypto or startup scammer, usually Indian >HR rep who comes up with more and more insane filters for hiring >Delusional boomer CEO who whines about his employees not behaving enough like his slaves and not working 24/7
What about unemployed people? I occasionally get recommended a real post from a real human going utterly apeshit and screaming into the void that they can't find a job, and then they get thousands of replies from all the other people who are in the exact same position. When I finally get a job, I am going to write a Linkedin post about how I managed it, and you will probably see it just because it'll be the only human-generated post on Linkedin that day.
It was absolute dog shit 10 years ago when I was a technical recruiter, with boomer "thought leaders" and h1b's seeking new opportunities. I can't even imagine how bad it is now.
>>108459749They have automated bots replying on reddit and hackernews every time someone posts about deleting their linkedin account.
>>108459749I like the games but there are these two faggots who get insane times on the mini sudoku and it pisses me off
>>108460735When they added the new Patches game, it stopped being possible to use a keyboard on Zip and they haven't fixed it yet. Playing it with a mouse is the real puzzle.

>>108459749why hasn't the software industry moved past this? Why am I expected to be on this thing? Why is everyone on this thing?
>>108459749I made a new account a little while ago after I got fired just so I had one while looking for a new job and wasn't complete social media blackout when people search for me. Found a job within 3 weeks because I don't suck and deleted it again but man oh man, I saw a former coworker on there who had been laid off and unemployed for months posting. Long hyphens and emojis all over, obviously an LLM generated post that simultaneously tried to make his former position sound as cool as possible while also whining about being unemployed. I almost died of associated cringe. The linkedin posting is real and real people do it.
One of my former coworkers is frequently liking or commenting on certain political posts on Linkedin. I don't think it's a good idea to be political on such a platform, especially when you want to get a job.
