Which the fuck is true?

both

The trick is to make people think you do a lot without actually doing a lot
>>
>>108461773
Literally both
>>
>>108461773
Depends on what day of the week.
When I'm home I grind all day, when they call me into the office we literally just fuck off the entire time waiting for a meeting thats about all the meetings we had that we also about other meetings.

That doesn't tell much. Do you have a NW0 head full of hair, a straight and slim nose, a strong jaw and forward grown maxilla? Do you have clear skin with no pock marks or sun damage? Do you have healthy, aligned teeth with no cavities?
>>
>>108463710
You swipe on the letters you want and the keyboard will predict them. You can type long words in 1 second. Tip: install GBoard if you are on Android.

>some coders say they're worked to the bones everyday
theyre both true and ive seen people do this shit its always their own fault, if you start a job and do lots of work really hard all day you trap yourself in overworking. you wont be punished for doing less than your coworkers theyll just assume thats your abillity but you will be punished for working less than you yourself have worked in the past.

whenever i start a job i always work at about half my max capacity i can work comfortably without getting stressed so i will never get burnt out because of this i will never work less than i have in the past so it will never look like im under performing and never have issues for only working half the day they just assume that half a days work is a full day of my max capacity

>Top swipe-type keyboards on F-Droid include Urik Keyboard, AnySoftKeyboard, and Unexpected Keyboard. Urik is privacy-focused with native swipe-typing, AnySoftKeyboard features experimental gesture-typing, and Unexpected Keyboard enables swiping keys toward corners.

Have you tried any of those?
>>
>>108465231
Very limited language support on all of these, I've looked previously and there are no good open-source keyboards with swipe typing.

I have done both:
>Tech in retail bank, slow moving, bloated, bureaucratic mess, I was getting paid $250k a year and doing about three hours works a week with fully remote work. Impossible to get decent work done, surrounded by incompetent people.
>Quant dev in hedge fund, super lean teams, expected to always be accessible by management, five days in office and a lot of evening and weekend work, boss constantly hounding everyone to go faster, priorities from senior management seem to shift once a week, total comp $400k. Smart people everywhere, interesting projects and low friction
In hindsight I had a much better deal in the bank
>>
there are many days where you can just coast and do very little, maybe work on some projects or ideas of your own. then randomly an exec will call you with a demand they need asap and you'll be working your ass off. kind of how it goes but its generally not bad. if you work remotely, you could really set yourself up to live a utopian life with the right planning
>>
I'm a product/project manager. It seems partly true, a lot of the guys take two hour lunch breaks while their python is compiling but they do work hard quite a lot of the time.
>>
>>108461859
Everyone knows you dont do any work, we just cant say anything because you suck management's dick. Don't be fooled, everyone hates you.

why would you recommend someone voluntarily installs a keylogger that sends all input to google servers?
>>
>>108467250
coz palantir is already logging everything you do unless you permanently stay on the tor network - even then they'll get you when you try to interact with a social media website - who gives a fuck
>>
>>108467324
why should this mean you should not avoid voluntarily installing keyloggers?
>>
>>108461773
true-devs work hard all damn day
fake-devs get laid off after 2 years of pretending to work
if you are a true-dev DONT EVER HELP a fake-dev, let them fail: fake-devs would be fired in 3 months if true-devs didn't help them out of sympathy, thinking that the fake-dev is actually trying.
stop getting played.

this is absolutely 100% not true under any circumstance unless they're an H1B slave jeet or working at a WITCH company
>>
>>108467621
Out of 10!
>>
>>108467598
Also... if you are a true-dev and you get paired with a fake-dev, once you are absolutely certain the fake-dev is a fake-dev you should send an email to fake-dev's manager (and BCC the manager's boss, usually a director) saying:

fake-dev is either not working or is incompetent. I would rather work alone or work with somebody else. thank you for your attention to this matter.

and again: DON'T HELP FAKE-DEV, LET FAKE-DEV DROWN just keep teling fake-dev you are too busy to help. And yes you will have to watch your project fail because fake-dev didn't deliver their part.

It's not a keylogger. It's worth using because it will increase your typing speed by 40-70%. Did rm do well windy risk pixel dark PC to OC. Locomotion aware web to
>>
>>108467745
anon, every keystroke is sent to google's servers. this is well documented and they don't deny it. it's the entire reason google bought it in the first place.

It's not, though. The data is stored on your device and you can disable send analytics to Google in the privacy options.

A few days ago I started dropping things, today I hit my shoulder against the door frame pretty hard. Just shows I'm burning out again or not sleeping enough, after work I almost immediatelly fell asleep for an hour.
I think it's not just the amount kf work but also that I actually care about the software being good and I stress myself out too much.

because of AI I am literally working non stop during office hours on about 6 projects

the problem is, if you are slow with a feature a c-suite will just slop it out with Claude Code and shoehorn it in, then everythings fucked 2 months later

Pre AI was awesome because you really could just hit a feature then game the rest of the day, as long as no-one else knew what was invovled
>>
That was a pretty funny thread, dude.
>>
>>108468486
try it. if nothing happens then work your 40 hours per week and nothing more... no more overtime, not even for "emergencies"... so what? Now you're not getting worked to the bone. again: never help a fake-dev.

How old are you?
What's your income range?
Do you like being that way? Like, do you take pleasure in being repulsive and degrading others or do you wish you weren't ugly?
What's your sexuality and how often do you have sex?

Around 60k a year.
No, I would choose not to be ugly if I could. I do not like being repulsive.
Don't really know, I guess I like twinks. Vagina is unappealing but women are arousing.
Never had sex.
