Unless these companies are all hoping to become the one to produce the robots that will guard and protect the future feudal tech lords then I don‘t see how replacing slop workers will make any money in the long run. Slop companies like McDonalds are already struggling because most goys can barely afford a slop burger in the year 2026, if all the slop jobs go then there is no one who will actually be able to buy their products.

>gay retard thinks that his RedBarron Pizza isn't already made by "robots".

gay retard posting stupid shit again.

who cleans the robot

What's the point of employing articulate robots in places where regular automation makes a lot more sense (like with pizza making)? Overengineering just to larp about being in the future is low IQ, not to mention the supposed battery life of these things which is safe to assume is terrible and the retarded costs to make and repair them

After making 5714 pizzas, assuming no maintenance costs, you'll break even on your investment.
>>
>>108464467
The robot handing over the pizza tot he other robot was fucking neat, and the height adjusting mechanism is brilliant.
Imagine if instead of importing third worlders we just made clankers instead...
>>

The point is that there will be nowhere for software engineers to retreat to. No manual labor, no trades. It's over for human labor and because software engineers are the first to be replaced we're extra fucked because we don't have the intermediate period to save up money and build up capital and retraining for trades will take longer than it takes for AI to catch up and fill the position.

Essentially you either already need to have around 300k in capital, live in some euro welfare state or already be in a trade to survive the transition period.

95% of /g/ users will die through the transition.

A "does your chores" bot would be cool. However I think you and I both know that a robot can't actually taste or smell food. Its like that Futurama episode where Bender wants to become a chef. Also I think, if we have chore bots, most upperclass people won't hire Mexicans or Blacks for cleaning their houses, but I also imagine you have to be pretty well off to afford at least one Chorebot™ (I just coined that, let it be known) and then you also need the space to store one. I'm sure we will eventually see a lot of shills on social media talking about how awesome their Chrbot™ (new Trademarked term I just created) is and how you should get one without people knowing the shills are just renting them or got them for free.
Also, I know you can just say "well, the robot can just measure the right amount of ingredients and put them in the pot." And I guess that fine, and I guess it will learn how much salt and spices you like in your soup. I'm just saying sometimes a human touch needs to feed the firmness of the ingredient, the color of ripeness, the smell, the taste.

This is what all AI is like. Bold shill claims followed by shoddy work.
>>
>>108466229
the cost is property rent>workers>maintenance>ingredients. If you cut down on needing to pay some jeet to make pizza with its unwashed hands, then it's a net positive for a business owner even if the quality is slightly worse or its a bit slower. But idk why anyone would do this instead of just getting a pizza vending machine.

Insurance, wages, overtime, legal considerations, unreliability, all these things and more make it expensive and difficult to hire a human worker. The robot will cost more up front, but it can work 24/7 (minus charging time) and never steals, calls out sick, and doesn't need insurance or wages.
>>
>>108464467
Mostly. The top 10% of the wealthiest humans drive over 50% of all economic spending. This means 90% of humans are completely irrelevant as AI advances in productivity can easily pick up the slack if 90% of humans died tomorrow. The cold truth is if you are not already one of the wealthiest people on the planet you WILL be culled because you are completely unnecessary to the advancement of the species.

Science fiction has been promising lead poisoned boomers robots and flying cars since the 50's, and some very crafty fridges in derivatives markets and out of ideas Silicon Valley have concocted a way of selling them that dream at an extreme premium before they depart.
>>
>>108464744
This is why humans are still going to be important i the future. You are going to clean up the clogged toilets and make sure the robots don't stumble on clutter.

It's literally OVER for employment, period. You're going to have to either pretend to be mentally ill and get welfare $$$ (if it still exists years from now) or go homeless and starve to death, assuming you're not picked up by a robot squad and executed on the spot for not contributing to the new AI World Government.

It's gonna be real funny when we bring slavery back for a bit (thirdies working in abject poverty for pennies a day to pilot robots), but once enough training data is collected humans will gradually be phased out until it's one jeet per thousand robots, just stepping in when the automated system fails.

I love how autistic they look. Also AI and robots rely on cheap energy.
>>

Idea is that robots like these can be immediately integrated into any workplace without restructuring the building, still need legs to fully get there

Ever person made unemployed by these things will make it their life's mission to destroy as many of them as possible.

>>108466308
Robots have nearly all of the same issues.

> it can work 24/7 (minus charging time) and never steals, calls out sick, and doesn't need insurance or wages.

ROFL, robots needs downtime for maintenance or will break down at inopportune moments. They will need insurance for liability.
>>108466361
No, they don't. They fleece each other this is thinly-masqueraded as "economic activity".
The dreams of that so-call utopia are about to mean the unfortunate reality of physics. The cheap energy that makes that dream is disappearing once that is gone. The knowledge to run it will go as well.
>>
>>108472309
Yes, this is what technophiles can't get into it. The cheap energy is going away. All of the cheap hydrocarbons are nearly gone and the lifestyle along with it.
>>
>>108464725
Most McDonald's moved to ordering on touchscreen terminals years ago.
The only interaction you get is them handing you your food.
>>
>>108464467
That looks like teleoperated, but if its teleoperated now, it can be operated by AI anyway. So its still good.

I want these jobs, the work from home types where you assume control of robots and then do the supervision job of other robots
>>
>>108473385
>The only interaction you get is them handing you your food.
True and that part is so fucking retarded because nobody pays attention so they have to shout each number a dozen times before the retard comes to collect it.

I pity the employee who's job that is.
>>
>>108464467
>even robots wear the brocoli
This is not the future I asked for.
>>
>>108464725
mcdonald employees don't even cook anything nowadays and clients don't even interact with them. Everybody is just pushing buttons and moving on
>>
>>108473385
even that part is fucking annoying they will conveniently forget to include items i have to check inside the package EVERY DAMN TIME, once i even got an entire order swapped, theres DEI hiring now, youre forced to interact with the Concord cast. There are various operational issues like they will mark the order as ready/taken in the teleprompter when it is not etc
