Why is this old shitty technology going up in price after 6 years on the market?
>>

no ps6 on the horizon, they can't axe it but they can't afford to price them competitively either
I dunno what they're worried about, it's not like microsoft gives much of a shit about xbox anymore

Components going up in price because of AI. Specifically RAM and the storage being an NVMe. I took this picture like a month or two ago. This is in USD. I think the other thing might be oil prices because of Trump's war (need oil for plastic manufacturing) and the tariffs affecting profits from the US market. The Japanese PlayStation market is relatively small compared to Europe and NA. And I'm sure Sony makes a profit from every PS5 sold but nothing near what Nintendo makes. If you really want to play AAA slop I suggest just getting a Switch 2 or PC by this point.

and they're still planning on releasing PS6 in Q4 2027

https://www.psu.com/news/ps6-release-is-still-likely-targeting-late-2027-says-hardware-leaker-despite-rumours-of-delay-to-2029/

there are more single childless fanboys in america than ever so they're spending money on luxury recreational items, so it'll be a huge success just like switch 2

Great, just great, I've got a launch model PS5 if it dies because of the shitty liquid metal TIM I'm not buying another one.

>>108466219
Fucking hell. I bought a 4TB SSD for my laptop two years ago and it was 200 EUR or thereabout.

If you talk to normalfags about PS5 they will all tell you that it feels like they JUST got it. Probably because of the lack of memorable software. There's no way they're ready for a PS6 unless it's bundled with GTA6.

The pic was from 1-2 months ago. The fact that it's lower now on Amazon is probably a good sign.

that QR code is bestbuy and I'm guessing best buy was sold out so it defaulted to one of their 'marketplace' prices
there's a whole cottage industry of places that have listings for 10x normal prices so that if the main retailer sells out their listing becomes the default and they get a chance to fleece some retard/obscenely rich idiot
now that every retailer uses this system it's become pretty common and people still don't know to look if what their buying is actually being sold by the website they're on
