I am on win 10 LTSC 21h2, the support ends next year. I have two options after that, downgrade to 1809 and get 2 years more of support or go to win 11.The pc is old now so idk if win 11 will run smoothly

Might work as an upgrade so you don't have to reinstall.
>>
option 3 - install fedora kde and start improving your life

Did you install that version by accident?
Why didn't you originally choose the IoT version?

Win 11 will run faster than 10.

What is "support" and why do you need it?
>>
>>108473831
IoT version is easier to upgrade

If you're behind an updated router and use adblockers on your browser, you're still gucci, that covers most of what can automatically run without permission. Then use Common Sense 2026 on what exes you do run on purpose
A bigger concern here may be that some newer games may start having compatibility issues with win 10

Convert it to the IoT version and enjoy another 5 years of security updates.

If you want to stick with Windows, get 32 GB of RAM and at least 1 TB NVME and upgrade to Winslop 11 (get IoT LTSC, lt's less sloppy, unless you want to game, go full slop Win 11 Pro, maybe Win 11 Pro for Workstations to get the faster NVME driver - about 10-20% faster)
Or, try Linux. If you're not comfortable with Linux yet, try it on a secondary machine first, try a few beginner-friendly distros, maybe Mint and/or Bazzite (Debian/Fedora-flavored, with their own unique twists). If you want vanilla Fedora, sure, but get ready to be deprecated in 6 months, at least Bazzite gets rotating updates. If the PC is bios-only, avoid Bazzite, it won't work. Spend a couple of years tweaking your Linux setup and writing bash scripts, installing stuff from the command line, get all your stuff working first. Re-install a few times to get familiar with how to build the system you need from just a downloaded ISO. Then go full Linux if you're into that.

Yes, it will run your PC faster into the ground.
