There is not a single compelling reason for me to enable IPv6 on the network appliances at my residence or business. Same goes for the clients I work with. I don't even have it enabled on any of my VPS setups, all of which run a variety of heavily used public-facing services.

I have been told since at least 2006 that IPv6 is an absolute necessity, but it's one of the first things I block / disable on networked devices under my control, and I can't remember any point in time where I couldn't access something I needed. I only see benefits to continuing like this. I have to manage, filter and worry about less with IPv6 out of my life. It's very relaxing. Know peace. Join me.

IPv4 will sometimes go down from my ISP. Having ipv6 as fallback allowed me to still visit a good chunk of the web during these outages.
he will also give me a static v6 adress for free, while making me pay for a v4 adress. Same for my vps btw.

That sounds terrible. Would break my contract immediately if I were you.

IPv4 only still works today due to irresponsible reuse of addresses, through CGNAT and other crap technologies designed to scrape by without using IPV6 for some insane reason.

not possible, they have a monopoly here :)

Can the third world be excluded from web services entirely by only having ipv4 sockets?

It would certainly help.

Isn't Africa is the only place with remaining free ipv4 adresses?

Sort of, but they have so little demand there that they're outsourced to other countries.

Agreed.

For me the opposite happened ipv6 went down for my isp for sometime, but since network does support it, dns kept matching with ipv6 sites,
And lot of stuff broke for me, gcloud fightcade, so i had to disable ipv6 from adapter and everything worked, lot of google cloud services are actually accessible through ipv6 too and the services hosted of gcp also have ipv6 now,
i hope our isp gets full support for ipv6 so that i can try hosting some shit on it.

CGNAT, retard.

I do want it though. The lack of static IPs is part of what killed the internet. If we had moved to IPV6 we could have had a world where you could just setup a box connected to your router and instantly be able to connect to it from the internet. Can you imagine all the cool peer to peer shit you could do with that? It would make setting up a website significantly cheaper and allow you to host it at your house without having to go through a VPS. They'd still cap your bandwidth, but that would still be really cool for hobbyist. Staying with IPV4 is part of the reason that the internet is consolidating so much. It makes owning and operating a website more expensive and forces people to monetise their sites or just eat a large expense. It also created a huge middle man market with all these VPSes and cloud services that means you own less and less of your own site.
