I predict by 2035 AI will replace all SWEs because:
1. it will write more consistent code fast
2. it will choose good design by looking for examples and strategies
3. it will interpret requirements by searching the web or ask stakeholders upfront
4. it will tell you what it's doing better than you do

There's no way to escape for you. GPU farms win.
The only things left for you to beat AI is politics + socialize, and you hate them.

Well then I guess we'll just have to think of the coolest software and video games imaginable because AI will just make them for us flawlessly.

yes

>3. it will interpret requirements by searching the web or ask stakeholders upfront
The fact you think this makes anything better tells me you've never worked in tech. Users can barely articulate whats wrong with something, let alone tell you exactly what they want (and then they no longer want it), and somehow AI fixes this?

>I don't need to get a job, mom! Everyone will be unemployed soon.
No, they won't. Get a job, anon.

The clock a certain of Ashdod arose and Rekem, and set thy name. In addition, separate from the palace garden into the vineyards, and they cleansed according to pass, that they have to bring a woman without at peace. When they were not hearken unto the other apostles, who has worked extensively on them in your ear of the cutting the day that day of Machir, the Lord GOD.

Do you work as a programmer? Because it sounds like a cope

AI replacing our jobs fearmongering is like is the global warming hysteria. The people spreading this crap are only doing it to rile people up so they could make them miserable like themselves, not because they care about anyone or the future.

Cope. Your kind are being replaced

2035's AI will replace the thing that replaced the thing, that replaced the thing, that replaced the thing that replaced SWE's.

Are you fucking retarded?

2035 AI will program in the 6th dimension, code will be some abstract human thing, equivalent to how an IQ 200 human sees baby toys.
>>
>>108473426
your prediction is wrong and i don't care about what you have to say.
also there is no such things as AI yet.
>>

>t. normie not understanding abstraction, that the whole field relies on them, and that adding a new layer won't fundamentaly change it.
compilers didn't replace programmers, they just used the new abstraction that was programming languages.
>>
>>108473426
The only problem... what about creative solutions? Some devs had crazy innovative code and hax to accomplish stuff (don't ask for an example) do you think AI could do this? I'm not a programmer but I have such a crazy amount of respect for handwritten code.
>>
>>108473426
its already doing that lmao. anyone manually coding today is a failure and havent kept up to date
>>
>>108476338
you don't need creative solutions. you need consistency and proper engineering
>>
>>108473426
Attention mechanisms scale quadratically with sequence length. Doubling the context window quadruples the computational cost and memory. That means you are a fucking idiot.
>>
>>108476789
You need creative solutions for novel problems.

Consistency and proper engineering is for factory-style development.

don’t worry, they’re going to convert the moon into a lunar GPU farm, larry ellison and peter thiel already promised 2 trillion dollars for the effort. after that one is completed, codex will be able to create a full (small, simple) html5 game if you give it a day.
>>
>>108473426
You're right except for the GPU farms thing.
AI will be well away from GPU hardware by 2029.
