I notice the read speed on this SD card accelerates the longer it reads. It's almost like a rotational disc where the closer it gets to the center the faster it can pull data from it but it's obviously not so why is that?

the workload has been done long enough for the system to cache some of the data. this has been a windows feature since vista. if you reboot your pc enough times you will notice it boots faster each time because windows starts caching all your startup stuff.
>>108475893What you see in "4gb/s" or whatever is usually an estimate. If the software representing the read to you is underestimating, it would look like it sped up as it got closer to it's target. that would be the simplest reason in my mind.
