Your choice, but I'll never use that. If I understand it right, Brave is just a UI packed with products to sell to you, and on first startup it literally downloads Google Chrome from Google servers.
>>
I have 16 web browsers but I mostly use Firefox.
>>
>>108477540
I like Librewolf, it just werks. Even if you re enable all the fingerprinting and stuff its nice just because it comes out without all the firefox bloat

many tech people are left-wing so they took the vax and triple boost, then died.
>>
>>108477727
Only the dumb ones.
>>
>open it up
>popups beg me to set up pass keys three times instead of just opening the browser
>>
>>108477812
just hit OK to set a empty password
>>
>>108477812
If you don't use the keyring, just remove it from the system, and you won't ever have to deal with that trash again.
>t. GNU+Linux luser for over 3 decades and have never used GNUPGP/PGP
>>
>>108477812
This only happens if your linux user account is set to auto-login, either go back to logging in with a password or fondle with the keyring like the two anons above said
>>
>>108477877
Or don't use the jeet spyware browser.
>>
>>108477540
DoH doesn't work in brave.
>>
>>108477540
imagine hating on the best browser because you've been told indians use it and shamelessly making the same thread every once in a while because youtube detected your tinkered trannyfox

helium is just brave, but better.
>no built in vpn crappy paid vpn
>no walltet crypto bro shit
>ublock origin preinstalled (its just better than brave shields)
>actually fast and minimal chromium, no unnecessary features preinstalled.
>>
i like brendan but i dont understand why i should download this. just use chromium
>>
>>108479391
Nah, if I'm gonna run a spyware Browser, I'll just use Vivaldi. It's far superior to whatever dogshit reskin that brave is.
>>
>>108479391
HMMMM
>Vivaldi: phones home, has affiliate links
>Brave: revolutionizing psychological analytics and tracking while telling you that you're a so Brave for using their tech.
Marketing a conceit should have been the first clue, but, hey, braindead zoomies.
>>
>>108480111
Using their product, that's a form of trust. Be brave. Trust brave. It's got electrolytes.

Never heard of it. Also it is not present in any ratings among the web. Amazing, installing right now

Man i just want a MINIMAL browser with the least amount of features needed to work, and plugin (adblock) support
Is that too much to ask?

>>
>>108480325
Librewolf, it's just Firefox with all the telemetry and data collection removed
>>
>>108477540
brave is cringe, the logo is awful, crypto shit is annoying, but somehow it's less shit than alternatives. other chromium browsers are either extremely bloated like vivaldi or legit spyware like chrome/edge troonfox is a resource hog and controlled opposition that is getting bloated with ai shit. there are no good browsers (inb4 retards with hilarious unusable garbage like librewolf)
>>
>>108477574
Everyone realized they're all just Chrome or Firefox.
>>
>>108477540
Switched to Brave years ago and never looked back.
>>
>>108479391
Whenever somebody pushes Brave, I get flashbacks to a lunch I had with my brother around the time No Man's Sky released. He kept going on about how the game had ten billion planets and you could look into the sky and see a planet and then go to it, and I got the impression he'd just never heard of procedural generation before. To him it was this brilliant, innovative idea that would revolutionize the industry, and to me it was this obvious thing that had been used in games since the 80s.
>It's got a built-in ad-blocker!
Uhh, yeah? So do Vivaldi and Firefox and just about every browser except vanilla Chrome.
>It's got a built-in VPN!
Again, so does every browser except maybe vanilla Chrome. Also, why would I use a free VPN?
>It's privacy-focused!
Literally every browser except Chrome says this. (Also, it's just Chrome again, just like 90% of browsers.)

That too.

I just switched to waterfox after firefox started introducing AI shit
>>
>>108480210
its kinda niche and new. its made by the same people of cobalt.tools
>>108481359
brave is good enough for normies, thats about it. you gotta keep in mind that for them, installing an extension and adding a couple of filters is too heckin hard bro...
>>108481456
what about it. its just so u dont contact google servers or wtv when downloading extensions.
u can self host it if u want either way.
>>108481506
just use firefox + betterfox script anon. thats kinda what waterfox is all about, really.
>>108481209
its also the only "private" browser that supports syncing across devices. i sticked with it for the longest time for this reason, idc too much nowadays.
>>
>>108481774
The convenience of waterfox is I don't need to go into about:config every update to make sure they didn't add anymore spyware and ai bullshit
>>
>>108477540
Brave really is the greatest internet browser.
>>
>>108477540
For me, its Brave as well
>>
>>108477980
Edge also asks for keyrings. Probably a chromium slop thing because Firefox isn't gay like that.
>>
>>108477540
Please use more recent screenshots. The latest Brave update is great and should be represented here.
>-30 BAT has been deducted from your wallet
>>
is brave more ram friendly than firefox?
>>
unrelated but what's your recommendation for file hosting service with folders that's least prone to dmca strikes?
>>
>>108477540
I had the opportunity to install GNU/Linux on my grandma's PC but I installed... Windows... with Brave.
>>
If 4chanx was supported on Brave it would be my primary browser. This shithole is the only reason I'm still using firefox.
