>no creepy uncanny valley vibes>no expectation of behaving like a human>not perceived as defective person pretending to be normal (e.g. a tranny), but as an innocent creature trying its best>cute animalistic appearance that triggers people's nurturing instinct (we tend to care more for animals than our fellow humans)Give me one single reason why all humanoid robots shouldn't look like this.>inb4 yiff in hell furfagNot an argument.
>>108480010yiff in hell furfag
>>108480010we are still decades away from this being an issue. what we have right now is just retarded prototypes that move and act exactly the way they look.
>>108480010>Give me one single reason why all humanoid robots shouldn't look like this.normalfaggot npc goyniggercattle have a mental breakdown as soon as they see something that doesn't look like them
>>108480010>gay dragonNo thanks.
>>108480010>>not perceived as defective person pretending to be normal (e.g. a tranny), but as an innocent creature trying its bestPeople are innocent creatures trying their best
>>108480149Without the just world hypothesis humanity wouldn't be able to function.Same reason some people can watch gore all day long but can't see an animal being hurt.
>>108480010What was this generated with?

>>108480010yiff in hell furfagAnimal-style robots will be more popular because of human cognitive malfunctions though, you have a point, just not your cringy furry dragon fetish shit.>>108480149>People are innocent creatures trying their bestPeople are not innocent, but often trying their best. But the lie here is that animals are innocent. It's a very female thing to love and coddly your pitbull that mauled a babys face "cause he's a innocent lil babyyy".>>108480198>Without the just world hypothesis humanity wouldn't be able to function. It sure could. It would actually lead to better systems and decisions when people stop handwaving away everyone that had bad luck even if the ones with good luck are a minority. They will have to cultivate a bit more of selective apathy though, as in "Welp that guy got fucked randomly through no fault of his own but I can't ruin my life because of that".
>>108>>108480285The argument I was trying to make is that the general public would potentially have a much easier time accepting the integration of humanoid robots into society in the coming future if they deliberately designed them to not look like humans, which would remove a lot of instinctive negative reactions to them (due to our co-evolution with rival human sub-species) and help sell the idea that they're here to assist us, not compete with us.
Again, putting the cart before the horse just to post furry shit on a Vietnamese underwater basket weaving image forum. There are already practical engineering attempts at making robots more approachable to humans, the Personal Robots group at MIT media labs has a lot of examples. These are very early efforts but none of them involve furry identity garbage.
>>108480010This problem has already been solved.
>>108480010why would I want a clanker that will mechanically wear out at the speed of light and requires constant maintainance, will spy on me and show me ads?we already can't build shit that last because of our overlords chasing the upward arrow, what make you think these maid/pet robots will have any positive effects on your life?wake the fuck up, it has been over 2 decades that we can't have nice things anymore, go outside, meet real people, technology failed you already, you're a subhuman scum if you still believe in a bright technology-filled future.
>>108480285>niggergoycattle screeching
>>108480558>The argument I was trying to make is that the general public would potentially have a much easier time accepting the integration of humanoid robots into society in the coming future if they deliberately designed them to not look like humansYes I got it and agree.>>108480106A good design on thread topic but these are not actually useful. We have them in a restaurant in my rural town, they use them for serving. The staff has to load it, spend ~20 seconds pressing the buttons on the touch screen for it to go to the table and then customer has to unload it. The staff could just go to the table in 10 seconds and they'd just put it on the table for you. Kinda fun but not useful.>>108480728kek
>>108480894>Kinda fun but not useful.I always thought it was less for efficiency's sake and more because people going "oh shit that's the restaurant with the cat robot waiter" just sounds better for marketing purposes.
>>108480907Perhaps, but for me the inefficiency is more stunning, I guess. I don't know the interface but it should take ~1s to press the table number and thats it.There's the cool factor but also the "no human" factor that could suit some people (including me) but the way it yells loudly "here's your food!!!" in a anime voice is such a spectacle that it makes it way more awkward if there's any other people around.
4th law of robotics: robots should look like robots5th law of robotis: robots should talk like robots
>>108480236I love that base model. Never seen that lora. OP's pic is the poster boy pic of it too on civ, lol.
>>108480010>Give me one single reason why all humanoid robots shouldn't look like this.Isn't this specific design an artist's fursona that others use? Developers shouldn't use it to avoid inevitable drama involving the original creator.
>>108480894Having a pettable Kerfus is inherently useful.
>>108483929>it has touch sensors>in the earsthey fucking knew
i prefer the picrel way more than that dragon dildolooks like a character form bing bing wahoo game than another t1000 and i unironically like it
>>108484334Globohomo art robot.
>>108480010>goycattle starts screeching about animal rights, zoophilia or both
>>108480106>>108483929( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)>>108484256It even had voice lines when you touched the ears, and Carrefour Poland ended up going all-in on the Kerfuś marketing, having anthro artwork cardboard cut-outs for advertising Kerfuś merch in their stores. No I'm not making this up.
So like, don't go to Poland, we're fucked in the head.
