Do you have a smartwatch? How do you normally use it?
>>
im in the market for one. would be nice to go for a run with only a watch and earpods and nothing else. would need it to run YT music. watching this thread

I have a Garmin one. I use to vibrate when I have to take meds. I don't do any physical activity.
>>
>>108484664
I was thinking about getting the PineTime but I hate the incompetent company behind it, so maybe I'll get something that can run AsteroidOS.
>>

I have one that I regret buying. I only use the sleep tracking functions. I don't even wear it during the day.
>>
>got smartwatch
>don't even use it
The sleep tracking is pretty poor and I don't care about the statistics.
I think I should start to wear it again because seeing who messaged you is nicer than pulling phone out of pocket.

ive been thinking about getting the pebble round 2 since I really don't care about health/heart rate/sleep features, would just be nice to check notifs, train schedules, and set timers without pulling out my phone. 2 week battery life is quite nice as well.
>>
I have an AW series 9 that I exclusively use for running and working out
big fucking waste of money, wish I got a garmin instead
it cannot be understated how garbage the OS is
the fact that this is an apple product at its 10th? 11th? generation boggles my mind

same, at best i can use it to send a message or track my walks, i used to control my music while riding my bike but had to use my car more often. Things i could do by just yelling at Siri.

Might give this POS to my wife and buy a cheap casio. Never biting the fomo of youtubers, now they are shilling that fiio snowski

I got a OnePlus 3. I love it, except I cracked the screen 3 months into owning it. These watches are not made for people who work with their hands for a living.

tracking heartrate for fitness stuff, sleep patterns, and finding my phone
A cheap one does this well enough
>>
I go it for heart rate, pace, and distance tracking during running. Turns out just being able to see the time on demand is pretty handy too.

> How do you normally use it?
Keep it on the shelf, like most normal people do.

Although there are a few models that actually make sense. Those that can measure blood pressure, but not via stupid diodes, those are inacurate. They have a pump and it's basically a medical grade device. Wanted to buy it for my father and such. Imagine if they were not overpriced for no reason. I would have like 4 of them.
Medical devices that do measurements are very cheap. So watch pricing is bs, but I'm to lazy to DIY it, developing something with such a tiny scale is a pain in the ass.

I like mine a lot and it feels like an evolution of the smartphone that has been largely slept on unfortunately. It's a great way to use your phone without having to carry it around everywhere or constantly pulling it out though in these times most people are constantly on TikTok anyway

It's a 10-minute timer for when I cook spaghetti for myself.

My main gripe with smartwatches is exactly that they have no independent life beyond being a secondary mini-screen for your phone. You basically can't do shit on a smartwatch beyond reacting to notifications with basic actions and starting workouts.

been using the galaxy watch 6 since it came out and I mainly use it for checking the time and messages, media control for driving or walking and the sleep tracker.
>>

You can type responses to texts and read emails and even browse the web on mine.
>>
Fitness and sleep tracking 80% of the time
Checking weather 10%
Glancing notifications 10%

I had a Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Ceramic Edition since November. Last Sunday was DST in Ireland and I woke up to a System Error screen. Had to reset the entire band. Would continue to freeze up whenever I added a task through the Mi Fitness app.

Fucking devastated. It was the best value for money. I returned it to Amazon. Waiting on a refund now. No other watch compares on price.

I used to have a Galaxy Fit 3 for 35€
I now have an Apple Watch 11 for 450€

Honestly the Apple Watch isn't all that much better.
>>
Garmin Instinct 2 going on about 3-4 years.
>>

i run with a garmin watch i don't wear it otherwise because im not a faggot
>>
Apple Watch Ultra 2. Use it to screen notifs, occasionally answer calls, ask basic questions like the weather or next meeting, it monitors my sleep/heart rate/environmental noise. Works pretty well and I got it on clearance.
