Is it still worth it to get a blu-ray reader, or should I just download?

It's worth to get a writer for 100GB M-Discs.

Totally worth it for long term archival, both off site and on site.

If you're fine with public trackers only having actual bluray rips of the current top 3 or so releases at best and private cucksheds being the same except they also have an elite collection of 20-100 """""""""""""""""""""""rare""""""""""""""""""""""" movies you can find by looking them up on google and adding "torrent" to the end.
In other words: Do you want quality or do you not give a shit?

If you plan to write or read your own blurays, then yes.

If you just want to download movies, then no.

I wish there was a 8cm mini M-Disc (theoretically it would be 32GB). It's a much nicer and portable form factor to give to people, or even the business card shaped 8cm discs.
