Basically the 18 core version of m5 PRO macbook has same cpu as MAX version (max has extra gpu cores)
AIR has no cooling your cpu will get throttled.

I'd say 16 inch macbook pro.

14" m5 pro mbp with 48gb of ram and 2tb of storage is just under $3k if you can use the edu discount. Same thing but 1tb and nano texure display is like $2.7k.

I think that's only an issue with the m5 max because it uses more power, boosts up to like 100w.

I never understand Steve Jobs' obsession of making laptop fanless.
Macbook Pro should be the bare minimum because it has a fan and letting the chip cooking at 105℃ 24/7 is ridiculous.
