That's a shame, his blog actually has some interesting articles. I don't understand pro-AI people who aren't building their own startup or aren't heavily invested in AI companies. You are simply accelerating your commodification if you are a normally employed SWE. If/as the models get smarter, the user will have less of an impact on model performance. AI "skills" will matter less-and-less as heavily instrumented harnesses, human-authored specifications, and other interventions become less critical to getting good model output. By becoming reliant on AI-tooling now, you are directly depreciating your human capital through skill atrophy and by providing the AI labs with high quality training data. That data is specifically that which is most-relevant to automating your own job because it will train models to be better solving the kinds of problems you solve and the kinds of solutions you as an individual come up with.
