How am I supposed to live with the fact knowing that the tech industry has ruined the world? Modern society is horrible, and pretty much all of it can be tied to the tech industry. AI is going to destroy the planet and the future of society. Everyone seems to be coming around to this fact, that the common denimoniator in why everything is so horrible right now is due to the tech industry and especially Big Tech companies. They are run by inhuman bug people. There are legitimatley very few positives anyone could articulate about what the tech industry has brought to the world at this point. Don't any of you care?
things have to get worse before they can get better
>>108490044Greed ruined the world. If you can't identify the root cause we're fucked anyway.
>>108490519>based! accelerate!>surely Haiti will be a world superpower now that they've reached rock bottom
>>108490044>Don't any of you care?i care but im too busy faggot
>>108490044wrong board g defended the vaccine it will defend the software cabal. Note I say software because its 99% of limp wrested faggots that never worked a real job a day in their lives ruining life for everyone.
>>108490519Will it heal?
>>108490618I would pay 100$ to go for a walk there if it allowed me to leave my appartment once> t homestuck draft dodger
This seems like yet another vacuous substack screech about "le Muskrat" or the type of thing that you could post to Bluesky if you wanted tons of YAS KWEEN replies when you say that AI is heckin problematic now please go to my patreon link, and the rest of the culture war starter pack. Maybe you have some actual substance, but the way its phrased so far isn't helping. The "tech industry" didn't do shit. There are certain parts of it that fucked things up, predominantly >Social media, especially Metafaceboculous Xitter. Discord and Reddit are a slightly lower tier, but still fucked up a lot of things. >Advertising, data mining, and surveillance capitalism >Crypto grifting adjacent nonsense>Proprietary AI companies hoping to sell you access to their APIs SaaS styleand there are other issues like Cloudflare, Nvidia, etc.. but ultimately many of the problems aren't just these companies in a vacuum. They're all doing what they do and are allowed to do, because of the system they exist within economically, the lack of regulations and regulatory capture, and more.
>>108490044I have checked out from most of society and the world.Just do my own thing with my own stuff.
>>108490627>g defended the vaccineTwo more weeks.
>>108490618Is this pic real or ai generated?
foreign governments have always covertly pushed propaganda talking points via 50c armies and similar.but now tech companies are literally paying utter hordes of otherwise unaligned third worlders real western ad money to post unlimited agitprop as Gun Lover Steve from Texas or Feminist Activist Rachel from Seattle. The occasional crackdowns only block the incompetent or lazy ones, once they've tasted easy western adbux they'll find ways around. AI makes it easy.Nobody online is real until proven otherwise and even if they are unless they're both smart and vigilant (just being smart isn't enough) the thoughts in their head probably aren't really their own either.
Imagine believing in original thought, couldn't be me.
>>108490722Haitians speak French.
>>108490044So long as all these companies keep paying eachother with the same 10 dollar bill it is a bubble and bubbles don't last foreverDoesn't matter if government throws in an extra 10 dollar bill to cycle around if all it does is keep cycling between the same companies
>muh dollar currency>muh legislationThings that have hardly mattered and will not matter at all once they attain their blatant goal of total mass surveilance.
>>108490044People are falling out of love with technology because, if you are the average person, what benefits do you even get from the current hot things?Technology has clearly abandoned people entirely and become just a tool The only developments people care about in a positive way anymore are medicine/biotech related, and even there they are on the verge of abandoning regulsr people too to give the elites genetically engineered babies and cures for aging or dystopian shit like artificial wombs so the ccp can start printing Zhangs.Technology has always been a force for both destruction and improvement of the regular person's daily life, but in the past 10 years the balance has fully tilted towards destruction while offering nothijg in return. We could go back to 2016 tech and the average person wouldn't notice a difference in the way they use technology aside from going back to using search engines. Hell, we could go back to the year 2000 and the only changes would be less social media (which is good) physical media still being a thing (which is arguably good) and the internet being a bit slower. The ones that would lose a ton of tools if we reverted like that are the elites. The only way to get tech to return to a more "innocent" way would be to return to the objective of fixing people's problems, but I don't even think it is possible. All the techs we are on the verge of making would have effects on every aspect of life at a scale that only governments, megacorps and the ultra rich play at. Technology has just become too big and it is going to keep getting bigger. It's like how a regular person could buy the same weapon and kit as a goverbment's soldier 200 years ago, but now all a regulsr person can buy is a rifle and drone while the government has planes and missiles. The scale has just become inhumanly big.
>>108491132>just a tool*for the elites to control the rest.
>>108490044But think about the stocks
>>108490718to reach agi?
>>108490044This has been baked in for at least 15 years, everyone who didn't have their head in their ass knew greedy buttcoin blockchain cryptokikes would destroy everything. AI slop is kino; we might have been stuck with nigger ape NFTs.
