>https://lowendbox.com/blog/act-now-how-to-prevent-your-repo-from-being-used-to-train-copilot/You have opt out, have you, anon?
>opt out>they do it anyways>along with everyone else because it's a publicly accessible websitegood luck proving they stole your code
>>108491227this is obvious, but why would they ask for a permission?
>>108491215Whaaaat???No wayMicrosoft would never
>>108491231>why would they create additional hurdles to potential lawsuitsare you just pretending to be dumb? it's already known they use github code to train their ai, but now you have to prove that they ignored your opting out before you can even sue them (you can't), and 99% of people who might try to join a class action can't now because they didn't even realize they could opt out
>>108491252>(you can't)I guess someone could bait them to train on an incorrect implementation (e.g. containing some very large random magic number) of some very obscure algorithm.
>>108491215jokes on them, my stuff is already AI generated, so they're training on their own output
Instead of opting out, why don't people just start adding hundreds of bogus files with blatant mistakes? If those files aren't included in the actual project they'll have zero effect, but since ai uses source files rather than projects to "learn," they'll be slowly poisoning the slop machine.
>>108491215Why would I care, it is our duty to help evolve AI.
