That money isn't about advancing AI technology, it's about subsidizing the cost of providing free AI services until you create a generation of people who are completely dependent on AI for even the simplest tasks. There are college graduates right now who spent their entire academic career being carried by AI. In another 5 years the job market will be flooded by people who know nothing but how to prompt and they will throw money at your AI service because they need it to survive.
