Why can't we accept that IPv6 is a dumpster fire and leave it in the trash where it belongs
>>
you will exposure every device you have to the interwebs and you will like it
>>
I'm tired of dealing with port forwarding.
>>
>>108502090
you can't slap NATs to everything forever anon
any operating system that's worth their salt nowadays have a firewall that babysits you from the outside world if that somehow is your main concern
>>
>>108502090
IPv6 is trash. Fuck it
>>
>>108502090
Agreed. I await when IPv9 is mandated globally.
>>
i use arch btw
>>
>>108502090
If IPv6 is so terrible, then why hasn't IPv7 come out yet?
>>
>>108502471
you can, I'm using nat ipv6 so my wireguard clients can route out with static ipv6
>>
I want IPv5 to come back
>>
>>108502471
But this is a preferred way. This is what globohomo wants. There is a stupid myth that they want ipv6 so that they know your IP or some stupid nonsense like that.

What they really want: to isolate you, make it impossible for you to connect p2p with who you want without letting THEM know about it.

This is why all mobile networks put you behind NAT, starlink puts you behind NAT, all new internet providers tend to put you behind NAT as well, by default. You have to pay extra to have your own IP.
Do you people know how hard it is to actually connect 2 devices which are behind symmetric NAT? You think you can do that?

cgnat is evil
>>
>>108502605
It was never here to begin with.
>>
>>108502684
With IPv6 they achieve this while simultaneously exposing all your internal devices.

Always remember to disable ipv6 at your main router.

>>

Hm, maybe you can keep it on LAN? Some services you it afaik. I don't remember which, but they may provide some convenience or smth like that.

>Some services you it
some services use it

being behind cgnat is funny cause i'm just gonna try to get ip banned for every service and everyone will suffer.
