That's neat and all but I still prefer the big fat precision 7000 series that has two fans and only lasts 4 hours on battery. Battery life is not one of my priorities. I wanna plug in and have it run cool and quiet all day with no FUCKING throttling which all thin laptops do.

if you want efficiency you get a xps. not sure why, since in 1st world countries you have electrical sockets pretty much everywhere. i haven't heard one person irl looking for more than half a workday battery life which is something non-macs can pull easily anyway.

xps cost something like 1500USD (mba 15 inch m5 from video is cheaper, i think its something like 1200USD, or 1300USD),
it has 2x TDP of M5, it has active cooling. It wins only in battery life test and its due to vrr screen and some kind of meme browser test where it can sits at 1fps 90% of time.
Im not even sure if its due to raw power or just windows and creative apps there are so poluted by jeets and ai coding that they drag that intel down.
Intel chips are surprisingly good, hardware is good, design is good, shame that jeetcrosoft had to shit on everything with ads, copilot, bugs and retarded web apps

from my experience the mac still has a much better battery life when compiling c/c++ code. Idk why but usually my dell gives up within 4h while the m1 can keep up for 7h. Thats the only reason to use it otherwise linux is easier to setup these days sadly windows has a lot of weird bugs like the A key not working for some reason.

He ran few benchmarks and then tested it in few creative apps, gap in benchmarks wasnt that high, probably due to lack of cooling on mba, but gap in apps was sometimes huge.
If that encoding is something u are looking for and apple does not support or support poorly intel should win.

macfags don't look for performance because it comes as standard especially in the higher tier macs. it's hard to describe in words because it should be the baseline, and it's bizarre that when i get an idea i can whip out the mac and have desktop performance anytime anywhere to do whatever.
for me the "computer room" became homogenized with the outside and with a mac u can compute wherever u want
the main issue with apple is that it makes u gay like all the other fags using it
