is it real?

ai should be used to generate trillions of fake profiles
>>

It was kind of a joke before AI really took off, now it’s beyond certainty.

The Dead Internet Theory is an interesting idea—but no, there’s no credible evidence that it’s actually true.

What the theory claims

It suggests that:

Most of the internet is now made up of bots, AI-generated content, and fake users
Real human activity online has drastically declined
Big organizations or governments are secretly controlling narratives through automated content
What’s actually true (and what isn’t)

There are more bots and AI than before
This part is real. Bots are used for:

Social media automation
Customer service
Spam and scams
Content generation (like articles, images, etc.)

And with modern AI tools, low-quality or mass-produced content has definitely increased.

But the internet is not “dead” or mostly fake
There’s overwhelming evidence that:

Billions of real people actively use platforms daily
Human-generated content (videos, chats, posts) is still dominant
Platforms actively fight bots because they hurt business and trust

No solid proof of a hidden takeover
The more extreme claims (like governments replacing most users with bots) are:

Not supported by credible research
Based mostly on speculation, anecdotes, or misinterpreted trends
Why the theory feels believable

Even though it’s not real, it resonates because:

Feeds are increasingly filled with repetitive or low-effort content
Algorithms amplify similar posts, making things feel “artificial”
AI-generated content is getting harder to distinguish from human-made
Bottom line

The internet isn’t dead—but it is changing.
There’s more automation, more AI, and more noise, which can make it feel less “human” than it used to.

If you want, I can break down how much of today’s internet traffic is actually bots vs humans—that’s where things get really interesting.

Hashchans turn them into your passive income. ai sloppers need to slop the net by powers of 10 to contain disfavourable memes from reaching virality- one anom pays a cent to post, they have to insert 100 pennies to maintain signal dominance- so stake a dollar in ethereum before spending the penny and watch the returns grow on the backs of the bot slavers

By the end, every bot will need a crypto wallet if they want

Crypto slop is when you pay a bunch of kols to shill your permissioned memechain to dump your capital flight from mina to scam retail.

Hashchan has no token, takes no cut, serves no ads, or takes any donations. Its antislop by definition

Worse, the Indian Internet Theory is real.
>>
>>108506660
i wish it was
>>
>>108506660
Yes, the majority of the internet is just bots, AI, and fake bullshit. Even most websites are now just bot made, copy/paste from a simple template and filled by AI.
>>
>>108506660
Yeah but can be mitigated if you go on tight knit communities. On 4chan it's not so bad yet I think.
>>
>>108507651
yeah most of the big social networks and public discourse website are filled with AI slop
i suspect people will silo into smaller communities with fewer members where you can vet each other or just hang out online with IRL friends
>>
>>108506660
Yes it is. Ask 4chan how many pies in a Raspberry Pi and see what happens.
>>
>>108506766
Go on then PajeetGPT, break down the numbers. You said all those words and didn't even get to the interesting bit yet. How many more robotic cunts like you are out there?

4chan has been mostly bots and non-organic posts for many years, even before AI. /gif/ was found to be at least 42% bot posts and the rest are coordinated by a discord group. /pol/ is almost entirely bot posts or done by JIDF/other government related groups. This is easily verifiable by checking how many posts an ID makes. If the OP makes only 1, it's 100% a bot thread or by JIDF. Here it's mostly bots spamming the same shit 24/7 and of course the rest is a combination of jewtube channel & corporate advertisers. The same applies to /tv/.

> even before AI
It was not really before. Before it went mainstream maybe. But deep learning was BIG in like 2017 already. And I strongly believe governments had this tech for a long time, maybe since 2000's. Because supercomputers existed back then already. Perhaps Russians had it since at least early 2010's.

It was nothing like it is now in terms of scale and quality. But Internet was smaller and tech like that was beyound imagination, so everyone believed it was organic.
