Proton mail's + trick has suddenly died in the last 24 hours. Are there any good alternatives? >email@provider.com becomes email+randomword@provider.com to look like a new email and make a new account with something that gives a free trial/referral credits.
+ is an allowed character in addresses per the rfc why would you want to use a busted email provider

>>108508601I got locked out of my gmail when my phone was stolen around 8 years ago and I couldnt get google 2FA codes anymore. That was a major pain in the ass for me because many of my other online accounts used that gmail for *their* 2FA. So I basically got locked out of those accounts as well. Proton was the first replacement webmail I found that doesnt insist on 2FA, theyre happy with just classic username and password. I dont expect any privacy, security, anonymity. I just appreciate that I havent been locked out of my email in the past 8 years with them.
