I called out sick yesterday and now i have to go to work today. REEEEE
Got off topic in a job interview and we both laughed about this video. I have a strong feeling that they weren't looking for employees and were going to hire internally anyways. Absolutely nothing was missed in the interview 1hr btw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_FQU4KzN7A
Should I apply to big tech?I've only worked at regular companies, some tech some not tech.
My manager is a director, his manager is the VP, and his boss is the CTO. The new VP(3rd one in a year) hired someone he knows for the director position, when the director quit last month. The director and the VP just brought someone in that they know and have worked with, alongside me(senior network engineer) they're calling him a senior network engineer too. Should I be worried?

I don't usually post of /g/ but I've got to vent. Started at a new place almost a year ago after being made redundant. Had to take a pay cut to get this job, slim pickings in IT in my cunt. 4 of us supporting over 1000 users, a ratio I couldn't believe when first told. All of my colleagues are Indian and speak hindi all day long, its very isolating. One in particular is the laziest person I've ever met. He writes one word emails like "done" to the users, doesn't leave any notes in his tickets and closes them without getting confirmation the ticket has been resolved. He's short, fat, smells like shit and breathes heavily all day in the most annoyingly revolting manner that I have an the funny feeling he does on purpose in some retched display of masculinity like hes trying to fill the air with himself. He always shifts any conversation towards himself; his favourite topic of conversation is his uncles boat and how he takes hot blonds fishing, which after showing me pictures of the boat became absurdly comical, its like a 15ft boat with no roofed section and no girl is going to see that and mistake him for a oil sheik. I had to go on a work trip with him to one of the regional offices as they were moving, and he was given a company credit card which he'd wave around and talk about with anyone willing to listen. He told this one waitress who looked 16 "I have 100k limit, that's 100k reasons to come back to my hotel" before winking at me. I'm reading this back and realise he sounds really based, but its like based from a distance, not when you have to work with this retard and you have to fix all of his mistakes. Anyway the straw that broke the camels back was when he bragged he was being paid 10k more than me. Then the straw that buck broke my anus was when my manager said that I wouldn't be getting a pay increase as id joined barely under 1 year ago. I'm looking for another job as we speak, and the first thing I'll ask for is a picture of the team im to work with.

>>108516143The bimbo aesthetic is more about the woman degrading herself to exist as a fuckdoll than actual physical attraction - is how I understand it, I'm not a fan myself
>>108516219For some it's their own lack of personal taste. They can't really see in the mirror what the perfect "sweet spot" is. They're just aping what society wants. They hear big lips, big boobs, big butt, and that's what they do, clumsily put all that together.
How would you /g/uise go about referring someone a random Anon to your workplace (different location and different division)Pros?Cons? Is there a /g/ approved consensus and process?
>>108516423If they are as great as you know they are then they tend to bring you over to another division when they move. I have been trying to bring a few people over and since they moved on they are trying to bring me over. Its a rubberband effect that tends to workout with alot of people. Its called networking at the end of the day especially if they are actually good at the job.
>>1085158593% 20248% 2025Just ask for more, that's literally all you have to do.
>>108516450What if I'm doing it for the money (referral)? There needs to be some trust involved and an exchange of information from the potential candidate to me.Another way of putting it, would you hypothetically agree to provide your resume to a near-random /g/uy?
>>108516466I haven't done that to a /g/tard but if it's for referral money then i have done that for 2 people ie my customers with credentials to actually do the job. In this case who gives a shit but generally they will save your name if they move to another company with money referrals
>>108516484Neat - My company isn't that small and won't hire on a basic referral, and I was on the hiring committee with a previous role. I've seen shitty resumes from shitty people, and interviewed a lot of shit.I'll give it a chance if the right opportunity hits the right milestones.
>>108516520I only ever got referral money from people who got the jobs. But i submitted at least a dozen to get 2 of em.
>>108516548Same thing with my company's policy - Payout is only done after the candidate passes probationary period.Even without context, 12 for 2 seems pretty good.
>>108516577Context is 2k$ per and over a 12 month period. Its been slow as shit this year. I think my customers(future coworkers) are hunkering down, DESU i am too.
>>108516591Much of /g/ is privacy oriented, and that's why I posted, but I think I have a decent mechanism to perform basic vetting that respects the privacy of potential candidates.Basically boils down to, 'I'll send an email to your corporate email account and you tell me what it says'Of course, I'll need basic information to pass along (First and Last Name/Resume/Email Address)Referral program with my company?$3000 lump sum after probation (permanent hire)
