I'm surprised by how many anons weren't even aware this repository even existed, and equally surprised at how some are proudly ignorant of that fact; some even going as far as applauding its shutdown for whatever reason. Sure there are other well-established resources, but what's wrong with having one more? It irks me how some people take pride in their (comparatively) convoluted way of sourcing whatever it is they're looking for via their sekret club.

That's why Myrient died. A ton of people found out about it and the host did not rate limit or block downloader programs or anything like that. He couldn't afford the traffic anymore and had to shut it down. Being nice on the internet wins you nothing.
