Fuck DIMM/CAMM. Just plop the DRAM on the processors and be done with it. Extendability is no longer worth the cost.

Modern X86 CPUs regularly go (and can sustain) above 100C, while DDR5 has serious reliability issues around 60C. You can do low-price and low-power (relatively speaking) stuff on-package, but for high performance you'll want some space between components.
