I'm a richchad (liquid millionaire in mid twenties, this is my biggest account got a few more) and it's really overrated vs how normies perceive it because of how rapidly stuff tops out and the extreme difficulty of maintaining it long term.For example while a £250k Bentley will be nicer than a clapped out ford fiesta it's not a massive difference. With tech it all tops out really quick, even on min wage you can afford the latest iPhone and a MacBook. Still obviously it is nice being able to buy and do more stuff than the average person.However when you consider the stress/difficulty with getting there it's just not worth it. It is so so fucking hard to keep advancing once you are at a certain point and even some of the most basic stuff becomes a nightmare. For example I can't settle down in UK without accepting a £250k tax bill each year and hence I left everything to live in a tax haven (desu I love it here).Educating kids again a fucking nightmare because no matter what you do they will be a "failure" by comparison at a certain level of success and it's extremely common for this to lead to issues in the kids. My partner has cried to me about how her parents think she's a failure/embarrassment because of her job (consultant/attending doctor). Like the standards are just so retarded and unrealistic but this shit is so so common, can't say I'd be any different but being responsible enough to not to have them instead of put them through this shit.Sneed.
