>>108520558dear god use anything but ubuntu
>>108520331>know at least one of you will make a certain post, calling you a nigger?
>>108520558for the love of god use ubuntu
>>108520618for the love of god don't tell him to use ubuntu
>>108520592I'd like to daily drive Pop OS but I'd rather COSMIC become more stable first.
>>108520558OP here, I'm actually running Win11 and don't mind it, since after a bit of tweaking it's mostly 'just works'. That said, I'm testing out the live image as I type this and it's the best linux experience I've had to date. Say what you will about Rust, but the image viewer is damn fast. Never was a fan of GNOME, but I actually prefer this to the Fedora 44/KDE beta I recently tried. Fractional scaling looks nice in 4K, fonts are decent (Ubuntu has always had good fonts), and there's no gpu issues because this kernel/distro has full support for Intel Arc.>>108520592I'm not trans, I want it to work, especially with my proprietary software. >>108520618I'm a fan so far. With this release they finally have a nice system monitor too, the stock one I've seen with GNOME 50 is horrible. This one "Resources" is written in Rust (of course), but I cannot argue against it. I'm going to stop bully lintards/lintroons now, this system is pretty good. I think I might commit to using it for a week to see if it's a viable replacement OS.
>>108520331Not to mention it's an LTS release so this release will get 5 years of support and 10 years with Ubuntu Pro for free, which is pretty great.
I'll wait until ubuntu 26.04.7 lts comes out.
>>108520875Should it be pretty easy to upgrade from the beta?
Ubuntu has a nice aesthetic. I think I might use it if there is a way to nuke snaps out of the system for good. Anyone knows something like that?
>>108520331How do I make the topbar's corners round like in GNOME 3?
>>108520938Keep taking HRT pills consistently. It slowly becomes more round.
why so much obsession over what programming language something is written inI genuinely do not understand this autism
>>108520958It's a rust thing. The community is pretty annoying, and they have to remind you that software is written in rust even though no-one asked, and no one cares. >>108520595Nah I thought Raccoon would trigger spurgs to post figure skater Alyssa Liu. Booted back into Windows and aaaaah I can't quit it. It's not even that I want to leave, I just like exploring alternatives.
I will upgrade in 6 months to a year
>>108520331After they release the Chicago95 theme yeah
>>108520331>GNOMEGnope.
>>108520331It's more like wokunto
>>108520331>Ptyxis: Your Container-Oriented Terminal for GNOMEHow is it container oriented? What does it means?>inb4 it has tabs
>>108520576No usecase.
