how is china so advance in robotics?
>>108522148chinese culture
>>108522148They aren't, they are in manufacturing capacity but in software and control the US mog them>t. PhD in robotics
>>108522148China is advancing very fast and soon catch up and overtake.
>>108522320It's just like for the space race, the US did the hard work, did all the first and trained all the chink engineers, published all the results publicly, and now 20 years later chinks pretend they are good at it
>>108522378Yes, it's like the space race performed by advancing science of the Chinese. Me as a normal American citizen of the US but not a Canadian I am respectful of China.
>>108522388ESL
>>108522398Sneed.
>>108522148All those demos you see are staged. The space is thoroughly mapped. Those things cannot navigate a space that's not completely mapped. They can't hit a moving target. It's all smoke and mirrors.
>>108522148They're smart and study hard and don't get screwed over the way American engineers (who are less educated than their chinese counterparts, and the best American engineers are Chinese anyway) are.
Johnny 5 is the ideal robot design. Why are they trying to make them bipedal. Johnny 5 is what happens when someone designs a robot with at least a passing acquaintance with reality. Low center of gravity, treads, expressive sensor mast, useful arms, stable platform. He looks like he could actually survive a curb. Humans are a terrible engineering template for most robot tasks.
