wtf happened to small phones. even a samsung galaxy s10 was still too big. the iphone 4 was perfection.
>>108530295I spent a year with an old iPhone SE like 2 years ago and it was the absolute best experience I had after years of bullshit big phones that felt like a fucking roof tile in my handtoo bad it's so old, I'd still be using it otherwise
>>108530303> that felt like a fucking roof tile in my handxD thanks for the hearty kek anon. yeah it does feel like im a tiler or some shit holding my nubia redmagic 10 pro i get that its "enterntainment" form but FUCK i miss tiny phones in high school i had pic related
>>108530308it was kino
>>108530295based 4 enjoyer
>>108530303I'm still using my 2016 SE because its not yet lost app support for what I want, and they don't make phones this size anymore
Just get a Samsung flip then. There is no reason to complain when there are many viable options outside of the Apple ecosystem.
>>108530366>flipno thank you. also when its open which is what it would be 99% of the time id be using it its the size of a brick bro. im actually mad you would recommend that to me. its insulting
>>108530366You're actually a retard anon
>>108530295I use a razor. It's nice.
>>108530295I feel like the Pixel 4a was the perfect size. I have an 8 now and it fucks up my jean pockets; the 4a never did that.
>>1085304371. Those phones are gigantic.2. There's a very small difference between the 4a and the 8 aside from the camera bump.
>>108530295>waaah phone too big! want small phone
>>108530295I have big hands so it's good. Also more battery life
>>108530295as much as I hate apploo, iPhone 5 was the peak phone design. nothing comes close except maybe them older flippies.
>>108530295Loud minority sadly. Sales do not reflect the shift we see online. iPhone 5 with an edge to edge display would be peak phone.
>>108530516The difference may look small in that comparison image, but I have both the 4a and the 8 in front of me and it definitely makes a difference.I had an iPhone 5s before, but after getting used to the size of the 4a, I can't go back.
>>108530605thats literally the iphone 17
Bigger screens are more likely to retain your attention, new phones are designed for no other reason than to siphon your spirit.
>>108531073youre dead wrong
>>108531114if thats true theyd make a tv sized phone then and have you control it with that facebook wristband tech instead
>>108531143No because a tv isn't portable? They are maximizing the size/portability ratio since the point is to have you glued to your screen at all times, even outside you home.
>>108530295People use their phones to consume content now, netflix, tiktok and such.. So mainstream phones are going to be big. Small phone market isn't completely dead though, uniherz exists.
same energy
There aren't any small phones so none are made
I got the S23 precisely because of this.I couldn't tolerate the amount of phones going with 6.7 and such. I barely ever consume media on my phone. I play games that don't need a fuckhuge screen. If I really wanted to do things like read or browse on the go I'd get a small tablet. But this is what these phones practically are now.Nowadays I considered getting one of those motorola razr ones with the flippity screen, but my dad went through 2 Galaxy Z Fold phones and and they both have these creases in the middle of the screen. I don't know that I can enjoy that much and it seems like a big gimmick to make up for the lack of small phones available. Which will net me a weaker phone if I want something for 600 bucks to replace my current S23. I have no replacement for this. What else is there? This is so fucking stupid.
>>108530295apparently normies use the phone as a computer instead of having an actual computer>>108530605>edge to edge displayNOI DON'T CARE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN AN ADi need to be be able to hold the damn thing
>>108530295I agree, in 2021-2022 I was using an iphone SE and that shit was peak + a flex while everyone had their bricks you got an actual phone sized phone. Too bad it was already too old at a time and the battery was giving out
>>108530295For the average consumer: phones replaced computersThey might even side with you now but I wouldn't trust them not to bitch about it later if companies were to fall back to a smaller model.
>tfw the only small phones I can find worth a shit are iPhonesgod fucking dammitI don't want to get into their ecosystem
>>108531503what gets to me the most is the way this utility-this tool that i can use to communicate with people-has expanded such that it now wants to take over my life. we broke the bell system up because they were a monopoly apparently but they only dreamed of the power that apple and google now have.i don't just want a physically small phone. i want one with a small impact on my life. i want one with a small remit, that does what it does and does it well, that isn't designed and doesn't constantly change in ways that benefit someone who isn't me. apparently i'm the only one.
>>108531255sovl
>>108530295not my problem, keep buying the newest, biggest fad
Rip to Asus they would have made more small phones if people actually bought them
>>108532174They should make one so the people could buy it. The first company to do one will completely corner the market
I'll cope with my 13 mini until apple foldable or Samsung in the same formfactor
>>108530529This has been my daily driver for coming up on 2 years. I love this fucker like you wouldn't believe.>Eased my phantom vibrations>Forced me to do more complex tasks on computers>Conversation pieceDownsides are I have to mindful of power consumption, but Im never far from a charger. They run a secondary power management app that will close your apps all the time so be sure to turn that shit off for important apps like your mp3 player and wireguard, or else you will enjoy some angry confusion when android's settings don't hold lmao.Idk if I can ever go back to a large phone. I was looking at the Clicks Communicator vs Unihertz Titan 2 Elite and decided I'm just gonna stay on the jelly star until it crumbles. Need to see if the update to 16 will prevent OEM root, not that I've bothered to root it on 13 lol
>>1085302954.3"-4.5" screens were unironically ideal
>>108530295>large screen>more captivating>both hands required to operateYour undivided attention goyim :)
>>108530559Stop eating fast food and do some exercise you fat fuck.
Do people with those new flip phones often use the smaller external screen?
>>108532130>xperia compacti had a few of these, the snapdragon chips in them ran so hot that the adhesive on the displays would melt and cause phantom touch/eventual disconnection
>>108531204god i had one (jelly) and it sucked hardbut that is the whole point for extremely small onesi really liked xz1 compact from sony tho
I unironically still use my Asha 503 because it's comfy af, also gives me an excuse to tell normies to fuck off whenever they ask me to use Whatsapp
